If you are spending any time in Valencia, Venezuela, be sure to visit Parque Fernando Penalver. It is a huge, peaceful oasis in an otherwise noisy, traffic-filled, mostly concrete city. When viewing the park from the freeway, you wonder why anyone would build a park right there beside it. The other side borders on a quieter area leading towards La Vina and El Vinedo areas.Once you have entered, however, it is like a breath of fresh air, with walking/jogging trails that you can take several hours to cover if you stop to take in the varied trees/plant life, or take time to sit on the benches situated in calm or off the beaten trail areas. The trails wind their way through both the sun and shade. There are some attractive bridges to cross from which you can take in the rather uncared for winding river, and there is an area with a burst of beautiful color from a Venezuelan flag display, which I believe is near some historical statues. I must also mention that there is an occasional concession area or cart vendor, and you might encounter a mounted police man or woman. If you're an animal lover, be on the lookout for interesting birds, squirrels, or a large and cute but timid rodent called chiguire. To top off the interesting features of this park, they have music piped in at some points along the trails, and there is some interesting artwork on display here and there. Definitely worth visiting.

Esta muy cercano al hotel, el parque esta en excelentes condiciones y las áreas son buenas para ejercitarse. Se los recomiendo.

El parque es un sitio muy agradable para ir a caminar, trotar y hacer ejercicios, hace la experiencia agradable la vegetación, observar las ardillas interactuar con las personas, ver las iguanas, en fin es bastante agradable ir. Hay que tener cuidado con los niños, sobretodo los fines de semana ya que el parque tiende a ser muy visitado y es muy grande.

Es un parque muy agradable y si lo comparamos con el Parque Miranda en Caracas esta mucho mejor mantenido.Al parque le faltan mejores estacionamientos para el visitante, se vuelve ineficiente los días festivos y fines de semana.Hace falta más banquitos para sentarse y tomaderos de agua

Es un parque bien concebido, con áreas verdes muy agradables y grutas muy bonitas.. Es a mi parecer, lo mas bonito que tiene la ciudad.. Lo mejor es después de una buena caminata tomarse un jugo de naranja natural bien frio de los amigos que se encuentran en las afueras de parque.. Espero que el que vaya lo disfrute tanto como yo

Realmente el parque Fernando Peñalver o Negra Hipolita, es uno de los mejores sitios que tiene Valencia, para todos los amantes de la naturaleza, es ideal para caminar, trotar o simplemente pasar el tiempo, ideal para los más pequeños de la casa, lo recomiendo.

Si dispones de 2 o 3 horas aprox es una excelente opcion para recorrerlo, caminar, sentarte, leer y disfrutar de su paz y tranquilidad .! Si vas con chamos se divertiran mucho en patinetas, patines o bicicletas, para correr y jugar el espacio e muy amplio, asi que es ideal para toda la familia, posee un fuente de soda para tomar algo y seguir el recorrido y en las afueras encontaras desde donas,jugos, helados ect.! Lo recomiendo para un sabado o domingo al aire libre ..!
