Paradise . The beach, the view and the food they had prepared for us to take was delicious! It was our choice to stay 6 hrs. 5 hours is enough!

Madriski has always been my favorite, maybe 2nd place if we consider cayo agua but if you don't want to expend 2 hours trip by boat on a rough sea, Madriski is the best option, clear water, white sand, snorkel zone, bath zone, is the paradise only 5 min from gran roque. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world... really.

Beautiful key. The nearest to Gran Roque. White sand, turquoise waters. When you arriving at Los Roques, leave your baggage at the posada and go to Madrisqui. This key, switch you into paradise mode.

As it is the nearest island of the principal one where you usually stay is very recommendable with a good place to eat at the beach and the first impression what you are going to visit in the next days of your vacations.

Amazing island with clear blue water and magnificent wildlife. Take a trip by boat to the other islands and enjoy warm nights on the beach with the friendly locals.

Loved this beach, great swimming, great view of Gran Roques. We adopted a dog for a day...he met us when we got off the boat and stayed with us, in the shade all day. You have to visit Madrisqui.

It is really an impressive island, very close to Gran Roque. This makes the island overcrowded and I would recommend other islands. Very annoying loud music coming from the boats. I don't know how they allow that in such a peaceful paradise...

the closest beach/island options from Gran Roque - has a strip of beach and beautiful crystal clear turquoise water, especially at the point ('la punta'). Also a restaurant with decent food (single option, not like the one on Francisqui). But be aware that biting flies and some other sort of really tiny biting insect start to appear in the afternoons (I was there in Aug, no idea if it's year-round). Sitting in the water seemed to help
