It is just one of the very few wonderful and magic place whic h l was lucky enough to visit during my numerous trips around the world .It is a place for nature lovers and poets.I liked everything there and just hate the idea that it could be spoiled by people who are not deserving to be there and do not respect the beauty and virginity of it .Be one of the priviliged people to go there but respect it please

I did not have the time to climb the Auyantepui but I spent a few days at the camps located at the base of the tepui. Having this massive creation in front of you is something you can never forget. Sometimes the tepui is covered by clouds and fog so make sure you have your camera ready for when it decides to show itself! If you have the chance, overfly the Auyantepui; it's like a landscape from outer space!

I was able to join the small airplane starting in Canaima, the regular tour for post services, mails and goods to the villages around which took about half a day. This was a wonderful tour, especially up to the Mt. Auyantepui as you can see the Salto Angel from different views - just wonderful. The landscape above the falls is impressing and quite different from the rainforest below. This tour is very much to recommend!

I went with a couple of friends, we were there for 10 days. We did a 6 days trekking to the auyantepui then we went to Angel Fall in a 3 days boat ride, sleeping in 3 different camps, then, we join the Pemones community for other 5 days eating temites, crickets and worms... We stay at kavak campamet that you can arrive by plane and all the accomodations you need to have the best stay you ever dream. Feel free to contact me to give you all the tips and sufpggestions to do this trip and the guide names to trek the Auyantepui

The experience is unique. If you are not a climber, as me, the helicopter's experience is fantastic. You will think you are in another world. We have travelled with the family to Europe, Asia, South America... and when my 13 years old boy came down from the helicopter said it had been the best trip (together with the Gran Sabana as a whole). It is not luxurious, if that is what you are looking for.

As you wind your way upriver in your motorised wooden canoe to Salto Angel, the amazing landscape expands before your eyes. I found I took photo after photo on the trip upriver, and so many of those photos included Mt Auyantepui. When you see the sheer size and magnificence, you will be impressed. The most common view is of course as the exit point for Salto Angel, but it's far more than that.
