Having grown up in a 'boaty' family and fishing most of my life, I wasn't quite sure what to expect when booking a fishing charter for me and my partner. However, Adamas Fishing Charters was simply fantastic from the get-go. They are first class operators. The boat is extremely safe, stable, and great for a group as it's nice and wide. What's even better is that they only take a maximum of 8 people each trip, so you're not crowded and can fish comfortably. Skipper Rod and his brilliant deckie Pete are fantastic guys. They went above and beyond to ensure we not only caught a ton of fish (delicious King George Whiting), but also had a damn good time doing it and laughed the whole day.If you're seeking an authentic experience with people who know the secret fishing hot spots, then this is the charter you're looking for!

First charter for me and won't be the last! Great experience, very good ship run by Rod and Pete. All different levels of experience on board but Rod and Pete make everyone at home, very inclusive, lots of fun and good conversation. A great day had by all....then after a clean up and a sleep, cooked our catch on the bbq in the park. Mm fresh fish!

This is my second time with Adamas Fishing Charters and it certainly won't be my last. From the moment you meet Rod & Peter you are made most welcome by these two characters. And affable characters they are! They do everything possible to ensure you will have a successful & memorable day. First of all, Peter will explain the different techniques for catching the various species of fish. On this trip we were chasing Squid, Salmon & Snapper. Make sure you listen carefully as Peter has his 'Cattle Prod' fully charged. Only joking of course! Their experience is second to none. They have over twenty five years of fishing these waters.They know all the 'Hot Spots' and do everything to make sure all the guests catch fish. They do not waste time if you are not catching anything and will move on.Nothing is a problem for Rod & Peter. They also provide first class fishing gear and fresh bait.We had a very successful haul of squid, salmon and snapper, which was cleaned and bagged for us.I cannot recommend highly enough for you to experience a day with Adamas....you won't be disappointed.Georgie Boy & The Coronet Laundry Crew from Ballarat

Been on a lot of charters over the years and this was one of the best fun days I've had. These guys know whats what in their neck of the woods. We got a hot bite on kingfish, no easy thing to do in victoria i might add. We spent 8 hours on board and gave Rod and Pete time to find a school that would bite. And bite they did! Think all the guys on board were happy campers that day. Best to give them the heads up on what you want to target and let them select a date/tide/moon ect if you want something special. Thats what we did and 2 months after making contact sure enough we got what we came for. I had wanted to go in November but Rod said wait its too early for Yellowtail Kingfish but with my son keen as mustard we went out for a fish in december on the snapper anyway. We got a Few nice fish as the sun came up then it was off to get up a good feed of Flathead. The crew were great at explaining what my son should do and cleaned the fish and bagged them up for the trip home. I have just got off the phone to the boys and booked in another 2 trips for the season. Well worth a Trip with these guys and to top it off they love a joke and a good chin wag.

Adamas charters is fantastic. Second time out with Rod and Pete and they have always ensured that we have a great time. Caught heaps of fish, but also enjoyed the banter . They are great guys. They are so helpful and know all the secrets spots.

Hi, Six of us went out yesterday (15th January 2014) as a party of three adults and three kids between 8 and 11 years of age. Rod and Pete put us onto a heap of spots (not wasting time on any of them that wern't producing) both within the bay (where we loaded up with a pile of Flathead in very short order) and then out into the Bass Straight. The weather was perfect, we were catching fish and the kids were having an absolute blast especially with Pete who had them laughing every minute of the trip (whilst Rod did all the filleting by the way). So, if you are wondering what to get the kids as a Christmas or Birthday present or indeed, just fancy a fun day out and a good feed to boot, gives these guy's a call, if it is anything like our rip you'll be back for more.Ted Smith

We had a group of 8 doing the morning run, 5 hour trip. Everyone very happy with the trip and caught a lot of fish. Looking forward to our next trip.

I went out on Port Philip Bay with Adamas Fishing Charters on Wednesday 14th November 2012. The guys running the boat know their business and the day was a real success with plenty of snapper and flathead landed by 11am. It was an early start at 4am to get ot the fishing grounds by first light. The boat was well equipped, safe and the guys were quick to keep all lines baited up and rods in the water. There was good humour on the boat all day and it was a brilliant start to the snapper season. Hoping to go out again next year.

Me and my mates went out for a full day charter, we all had our kids with us. It was one of the most enjoyable days I've ever had with my children. We all loved it, caught heaps of fish and will be back. Rodney and his deckie were great with their local knowledge and also with the kids. Fishing with young kids takes alot of patients.
