We went out from Merimbula with Simon and Jessica on the "True Blue" yesterday afternoon and we had the time of our lives. About half an hour after reaching a good area we were treated to a fantastic show by a mother whale and calf. The calf must have been very curious as to what sort of whale True Blue was as it breached repeatedly over a period of 30 to 45 minutes. It was so regular in its acrobatics that the children on board were actually counting down (10,9,8,7......) and then it would reappear as if it were part of a game.Simon and Jess are great hosts and really know their stuff. The True Blue is a safe and comfortable catamaran and I'm sure all on board yesterday afternoon will remember their adventure for a long time to come.Graeme and Carole Watson.Canberra

We went with GoWhaleWatching Merimbula in July and we got mugged by 2 whales! It was an enjoyable experience and that was the first time we had such a close whale encounter. We did not get seasick and the staff were very professional and helpful with those who did.

If you want to have a fantastic day Whale Watching in Sydney, make sure you go whale watching with Merimbula Marina Whale Watching, went on a cruise yesterday, had the best time, saw whales and the crew were absolutely fantastic, friendly, caring and very knowledgable in regards to whale watching also very respectful of the whales!

Ein Tag vor dem Trip hatte es schon geregnet und es war sehr windig, darauf hin hatte ich per Email angefragt ob der Trip statt findet. JA. Da ich (wie die meisten) über groupon gebucht hatte, konnte ich selbst den Trip nicht verschieben. Als ich dort ankam hatte es schon wieder geregnet und es war sehr windig. Der Wetterbericht hatte schon angegeben das es heut besonders stürmisch werden soll aber wohl noch nicht so schlimm, dass der Trip trotzdem stattfand.Nach der ersten halben Stunde waren alle die draußen saßen (da drinnen kein Platz mehr war) komplett nass. Es wurde immer kälter und die Wellen immer höher. Nachdem wir dann tatsächlich zwei dreimal eine Flosse von einem Wal gesehen hatten, fingen alle an Seekrank zu werden. Von vielleicht 40 Personen kotzten etwa 30 (ich hab mich tapfer gehalten).Es stürmte immer mehr und ich war bis auf die Knochen klitschnass. (trotz Regenkleidung) Somit wurde es auch immer kälter.Es gab zwar Kaffee und Tee umsonst aber keiner traute sich aufzustehen, da das Boot so sehr geschaukelt hat, dass man ständig von einer zur anderen Seite geflogen wäre.Fazit man sieht auf jedenfall Wale. Aber es ist unmöglich und nicht diskutierbar bei diesem Wetter auf's Meer raus zu fahren!!!
