Devonport is the port city. There are some nice walks and interesting places to see. There are parks by the river with tables and chairs, to watch the small boats come and go. The coastal views offer some great photos. There's also the lighthouse, which is worth a visit, plus some interesting antiques shops, and other tourist attractions. There are plenty of food outlets, offering all kinds of takeaways or eat-in food, and clean bathrooms are dotted around the city and surrounds. It's worth a look if you're heading that way. The Spirit of Tasmania docks at the port here. We drove there easily in a day while staying at Mole Creek. The roads to Devonport are good, and have excellent signage, so you won't get lost.
