A must do for anyone visiting Alice Springs. Even for an Australian I couldn't get over the love and affection shown for our native fauna. Love it, keep up the amazing work.

Loved every second of our visit. Brolga was so committed to his sanctuary and he was really interesting to listen to. We strolled round in the early evening and he knew his kangaroos by name. We held a joey who was the most gentle little creature. Brolga has no interest in becoming a commercial venture, his Roos come first which is lovely to see.

Wonderful to meet Brolga & his mob & holding little Bobby & Becky for me & my husband was the highlight of our trip to Oz.Walking through his land with a gorgeous setting sun & loping roos around us while he chatted with passion about his venture was an experience we'll always remember. Thank you Brolga.

We found this "diamond" online. What a wonderful experience while in Alice Springs. You must experience it near sunset because the kangaroos are just waking up. We spent about 2 hours walking around the grounds and learning so much about the rescued kangaroos. They are not only rescued, they are rehabilitated. Kangaroo Dundee was an extraordinary and committed guide, founder and owner of this fantastic sanctuary.

If you are ever in Alice Springs you have to visit the Kangaroo Sanctuary. It is a wonderful place and we had an amazing evening walking in the bush with the kangaroos and carrying the joeys. Fabulous!

We watched Kangaroo Dundee on TV and were so amazed that we organised a trip to Australia to visit the sanctuary ourselves. It was one of the best things we did on our trip, Chris (Brolga) is passionate about his work and extremely informative and welcoming. It was a delight to be able to hold one of the joeys (Betty) in her cloth bag and to meet several of the kangaroo characters at the sanctuary, including Roger and Rex who were two of the TV stars. The sanctuary is a very simple set up which we really liked and the whole experience was very well organised and a wonderful experience.

What can we say about this apart from brilliant, superb experience,my wife got to cuddle a baby kangeroo which she talks about to everyone she meets. The overall visit was fascinating getting up close to the animals and seeing and talking to Brolga was for us both one of the highlights of our tour. The set up is a few km out of Alice,do not expect anything lavish the whole affair is concentrated on rescued baby roos, you sit on plastic chairs if you are lucky or more likely bales of hay,Brolga has a couple of local indigenous ladies giving an insight into their way of life and beliefs and to give them some extra financial support you can buy one of their paintings,we bought one for $100 and at least you know that they receive all of that money as Brolga does not take anything out.If you only get to do one thing in the area try to visit the sanctuary,I believe that apart from organised tours it is difficult to visit him as he wants to spend his time with the animals and does not seem to be commercially interested in hordes of visitors,we were told that the BBC were coming again this coming year to start filming a new series so at least you can see him on TV .

Visited one evening in November. Chris(Brolga) met us and led us through his modest former home. He gave us a little information about his background, and then produced 2 joeys in bags to hold! He is completely dedicated to his kangaroo sanctuary and was so genuine that we were all captivated. He introduced us to Doreen and Audrey, Aboriginal ladies who talked a little about their culture, artefacts and paintings, some of which were for sale. We then walked through the sanctuary to meet the alpha male kangaroo Roger. Roger was behind a fence which Chris showed us was necessary as Roger was wanting to fight any tall person! Other docile Kangaroos were meanwhile walking around us, and with us! We made our way back through the sanctuary at dusk - so beautiful at sunset with the moon and stars appearing, and kangaroos! All those that wanted to, had a turn at holding and cuddling a joey. Unforgettable. The sanctuary experience is not to be missed if in Alice........ Awesome!

Chris (brolga) does the tours himself, this is definitely not a Disney type experience. He is an engaging and genuinely passionate advocate of his work. There is no visitor centre, shop or cafe but Chris doesn't need / want this degree of commercialism. A brilliant, heartwarming experience.
