We were very surprised at the size of this museum - looks small from the outside but it belies the comprehensive internal displays. Amazing place, well worth a visit! Can easily spend a few hours here!

The Old Fashioned Photography studio is a separate business from the Lakes District Museum and as such operates independently from us. We are sorry to hear that they weren't open when you visited Arrowtown as it is really good fun!J

Thanks so much for your lovely review. We believe that the museum and the $3 gold pan hire is a great way to spend a while in Arrowtown and learn about the history of our gorgeous area. The miners had to work hard didn't they!J

Great to hear that you enjoyed our WWI exhibiition. We had some fantastic feedback about the exhibition over the summer. We are sorry to hear that the photo studio wasn't open - they are a separate business from the museum and so are not always open early when we are.J
