A few interesting trails for both snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The lodge was very comfortable with a ski waxing room, rentals, a small lunch counter serving carrot soup the day we were there. Did I mention the fireplace and two pot-belly stoves to keep the place toasty warm.

If you want to switch up and try some alternative winter sports head to the ski de fond centre (St.Barnard) where you can cross country ski or snowshoe. Rentals are available for both. The centre is a short drive from the downhill resort "village".

We return year after year. The trails are beautiful with lots of choice. The longest is 18 km. There are warming huts.

The staff were very helpful. This is a very large XC ski area in a public park. Trails were meticulously groomed when we went on several days. Only complaint is that there is an abundance of easy and moderate trails and few steeper trails that were not back country ungroomed expanses. The snow shoeing trails were surprisingly varied and could be steep in a fun way. Price was reasonable for trail pass and rentals.

A very nice get away for all snow sports and levels of skiers. The people are friendly and the food is good. Extremely cold, -6 Fahrenheit.

This is an excellent venue for XC skiing, snow shoeing or just a hike in the snow. It is well organized, groomed and convenient. Make sure to get good directions and follow them and look for the hard left turn at the Large Inn (we missed the turn).

What a great way to get back on skis. This mountain is well situated for beginners and begin-againers. We had not skied in 10 years but found the rental service, gondola and hills all easy to maneuver. It was a great place to strap on the boots and try our luck on the slopes.

Fantastic trails for cross-country skiing snowshoe or simply winter hiking. Wilderness and deers all around. Fresh air of the mountain. Reasonable prices. After ski, go to Mont-Tremblant pedestrian village.

They have a great deal on an intro lesson, ski rental, and access to park. And don't forget to pick up birdseed, they hand it out, to attract little birdies. Special place, well-maintained, clean, and helpful staff.

You would think a major (and expensive) ski centre would get it right. This centre is on a beautiful piece of property with apparently 90Kms of trails. We did the longest of the recommended loops (22KMs). We definitely did needed a map since there were some tricky turns, one of which we missed. It had snowed the night before we went skiing. My husband skate skis and I classic. There was plenty of parking and the club house was small for the crowd there but quite adequate. They have waxing tables but you need to bring your own iron. It looked like you could rent from a large inventory of equipment. We asked if you could skate and classic on the 22Km loop and were assured you could. There were 2 major drawbacks: (1) over 50 percent of the loop was not groomed after the snowfall. (2) We had to take skiis off to cross roads many times (one at the bottom of a black diamond hill), and twice to walk 10-20 minutes down a road. The fee was $18.50 each to ski on ungroomed trails. I don't think we would go back.
