I great tour about the bee and how they make honey. It was nice to taste the different kinds of honey. Never knew that it could taste that different.

My daughter has been longing to return to Intermiel after a school field trip from a few years back. I didn't really understand the attraction - I assumed this would be a small business showing kids about honey and bees, cute, but hardly worth a 40 minute drive. However, drawn there as a part of the Quebec agricultural open house tour, I was *very* surprise at the scale and the hospitality offered. Because of the open house, they were offering, no charge, four generous samples to highlight their many products. The tour was extensive, showing off the facilities and their staff (they are proud of their employees!), and a surprising array of products, with tastings of honeys & alcoholic products, as well as the details of honey production. We were there over 2 hours.

During a tour of the Argenteuil region, we stopped at Intermiel and took a tour of this wonderful facility. Our guide was very knowledgeable about bee keeping and the production of honey, maple syrup and wine. Although she had a difficult time expressing herself in English, she persisted. The tour ended with a wine tasting. Since I do not drink wine, I was offered a tiny portion of non-alcoholic wine and no refills while the other three got to taste as many of the more than one dozen wines. The facilities boutique offers a vast array of product (honeys, maple syrups, wines) and their costs are fairly reasonable. You can also visit a few animals and bring a picnic. These products are exported to several countries. Worthwhile. There is a fee for the tour ($8).

First, the owner was rude. The visit began late. There were two part provided by two different person and these two people completely contradicted each other in the way bees proceed to make honey, who was right? The first part was interesting but short. The second part was totally focused on selling. This second person did not mention anything about the process to make honey or other information about bees, he just wanted to sell products. This second person was unpleasant and also made fun of the visitors. Will never go again and I will never encourage them by buying there products!

Not only you can buy honey from them, but there are plenty of products like honey candies or mead.Also, you can discover how the honey are extracted. More than that, there is a little animals farm for kids.

This is a bee/honey producer. They give a guided tour and show you the bee hives and explain how the honey is made...pretty cool. They also have a nice boutique/gift shop where you can buy their products all made of honey. I recommend this activity...it is original.

My boyfriend heard about this place and we had nothing to do on a nice day yesterday so we decided to head over and attend their tour. It sounded rather long to me at 1.5 hours, but if you have any interest at all in bees, or in learning more about why they are in danger, I don't think you could find a better tour. Our guide was super knowledgeable and clearly passionate about bees. He gave us a lot of information without being boring and we were able to see beehives in operation up close and learn about all the different products produced from bees and their hives. We also got to try a couple of their types of honey and do a wine/cider/liqueur tasting of their products. Some folks who missed the whole tour paid the $8 just to do the tasting, which I don't think was an outrageous price.One caution about the tour, though, is that it was conducted entirely in French, but I don't know if this was just because everyone understood it. The guide seemed bilingual and mentioned they do get English speakers. Also, people brought their kids, but it's so much information; I don't think the tour is great for really young kids, although the site overall has plenty of fun stuff for kids to do including a mini-zoo, with bunnies they can hold and ponies they can pet, and a big swing set, all open to the public.The little shop also seemed reasonably priced with opportunities to taste all their different types of honeys and alcohols. It was neat to see one of the owners working in the shop, too. It seems like a pretty big business, but you get the sense that it's really family-owned.I'd definitely recommend the tour to my foodie or nerdy friends. The surrounding area is also beautiful with plenty of opportunities to visit other farms and vineyards.

This is an unsual and very interesting attraction for both adults and children. Learn about the life of a bee and how honey is made, from the experts. There is a huge shop to buy anything and everything made from honey, with a big selection of honey types.

I was impressed by the sheer volume of products! They lost power so it was dark and operations mostly stopped, but not the tastings or sales (done hand).Honey, of course, honey +shampoo, facial products, mead, vinagrettes, soaps, mustards, relishes, You could even buy a bucket of honey!Now that I am home and have tasted the goods, I wish I would've bought more.The whole chemin de terroir route that begins in St. Eustache was so much fun, and I have lots of Christmas gifts - unique ones!

Intermiel is well known in the region.Very interesting visit about bees and bee products, in a nice location. The variety of products they sell is excellent as the quality of their products (all kind of honey, honey products, wine, etc...). If in the area, it is worth a stop, even if you don't have time for the visit.
