In summer time, if you want to bike, relax in front of the lake, walk, yoga, and many more stuff...this is the place. In winter, slides, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, etc...this is the place!

Its truly nature at its best, we have seen deer in this park, so peaceful and serene, want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can spend a day here, there is a quaint little chalet where you can go buy a hot chololate and sit by the fire, sometimes there are musicians there to serenade you.

The Parc Michel Chartrand stretches over a surface of 1,850,000 m2. The park offers several animation programs, presents popular events and hosts activities for children all year long. There is ample room for picnics as well as a chalet that offers food, drink, telephone service, ski rentals and more. While going through the various trails you may come up on deer, racoons, squirrels and various types of birds, in fact if you bring along some bird seed they will eat out of your hand. This park also contains a restricted area where wildlife and plants are protected. Access can only be gained to this area with permission from the city. Park offers: Body of water (3 lakes) .Children's playground. Cross-country skiing (12.5 km). Cycling. Day camps / Educational camps. Entertainment. Hiking (10 km). Ice skating. Outdoor activities on premises (including trout fishing festival), Plant life observation, Playing field with sports/recreat. equip.. Roller blade. Shows. Snowshoeing. Wildlife observation. Winter sliding. If you want a breath of fresh air, this is the place to visit. If parking lot is full, the park, access can be gained from the Jean Beliveau Arena.

Plusieurs couloirs pour de la glissade en famille lors de la relâche, surveillance adéquate, grande achalandage en cette semaine de congé scolaire. Petit resto et fontaine d'eau très appréciés dans le bâtiment au pied des pentes. Petite remontée mécanique pour les tout petits. Excellent pour une activité gratuite.

Le Parc est un havre de beauté et un lieu d'activités sportives et communautaires en tout temps, de ressourcement et de paix. Quel joie de croiser les biche et un renard de temps en temps! Bémol: le chalet mérite un petit café plus sympa que ce qui est offert et qui fait un peu dur.

Ce magnifique parc peut vous faire oublier que vous êtes à 5 minutes des grandes villes environnantes. Été comme hiver on peut y pratiquer des activités de plein air dans de très belles conditions autant pour les enfants que les adultes. Les pistes sont particulièrement bien entretenues autant pour la marche, le vélo que pour le ski de fond l'hiver et une belle glissade avec remonte-pente pour amuser les enfants...et même certains adultes. Le ski de fond est de base, sans dénivellation mais excellent pour le cardio et une partie des pistes est éclairée. On y côtoie une belle nature dont des mésanges apprivoisées et des chevreuils pas très farouches! C'est magnifique et à part les locations d'équipement possibles, c'est..."gratos".
