We have always made a point of stopping & patronizing this delightful little lighthouse on our numerous trips around the Gaspe. It has fallen is disrepair over the years due to the harsh climate of Quebec winters & seaside location but the cafe & gift shop has beautiful local hand made knitted items such as socks, caps & mittens, beautiful one of a kind baby items, hand woven rugs & wood working projects like tables & sculptures and jewelry as well as the usual suspects in souvenir items like coffee mugs, bags, pens etc. The cafe has delicious home made sandwiches & soups and drinks served with a personal touch. For $2 you can climb the lighthouse. Take your kids! Clean restrooms & good travel information can be found here as well.

N'oubliez pas de vous arrêter aux deux jolis phares de cette belle côte, le phare de cap Madeleine, phare plutôt blanc, objet de cet article, et le phare de la Martre, à quelques kilomètres, qui est lui de couleur rouge. Pour quelques dollars, on peut montrer en haut de la tour.Les phares sont toujours mythiques, en Bretagne comme en Gaspésie...Ne boudez pas ce plaisir serein, loin des sentiers battus.
