Such a nice, well groomed park. There are duck ponds, rose gardens, a petting zoo, acorn trees, beautiful gardens, the giant watering bucket. you could easily come here to admire the beauty, have a picnic or relax and read a book. Great for all ages. I could spend hours here.

Large, well laid-out and maintained park near the centre of Victoria. Lovely gardens and trees with good grassed areas for strolling, running, games and relaxing. Perfect for kids, with a petting zoo an added attraction. Shouldn't be missed on a visit to this area. It's up there with the best of the large city-parks around the world.

This is a big and beautiful park. It has a petting zoo and beautiful flower beds and tons of oak tree's. Nice spot to play some catch or have a picnic.

Great place to wander, picnic, reflect or give the kids a place to run. Children's farm is cute (few animals in early spring) but donations should be by patron discretion and not have set recommended amounts. Seek out the small stone bridge dedicated to Emily Carr by her sister.

It's a wonderful city park near right by the Dallas road walk. In the summer there are free concerts. Nice petting zoo. Just a really nice place to visit

Beacon Hill Park is lovely during the warmer months. You can easily spend the whole day there visiting the animals and walking though the beautiful rose gardens. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away. Be sure to grab a soft cone ice cream on your way...the best ice cream in the city. Best of all, the people are friendly. Have a look where I describe Victoria as a friendly city; here in BBC Travel:http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20141009-living-in-the-worlds-friendliest-cities

Make sure to use Tally Hoe Horse & Carriage Rides, the 45 minute tour was amazing - we had a great tour guide who gave us great information about Victoria, and was quite entertaining at the same time!
