2nd time for us and we are still impressed.A beautiful old Parliament building with many sights to see. Free to the public, educational, and beautiful inside and out. 3300 lights at night outline the building features.Everyone needs to visit - guided tours are available, but we chose to self guide (with a borrowed book from the front desk) both times.

This is an old historical building that is very beautiful. Take a tour, or wander around yourself. ( Pick-up a guide book on your way in).Take your time and look at the detail of the floors, walls and ceilings. We even ran into our local MLA on his way to his office. This is a MUST SEE for all Canadians and especially for BC residents.

You can take a self-guided tour and learn about the history of the area and government. It was worthwhile (if you like history!).

I wanted to visit the building as it looks so beautiful on the outside. I often visit the parliaments of countries and regions I visit. However, we were turned away by security when we asked if we could enter and see the building. They said the building was closed to the public but we later found out that there are tours.... As guards for the building, it's a pity they never told us that! Its as if they did not want us to visit at all.

Very nice architecturally and lots of history. If you are lucky (?) as we were, the MLAs will be sitting and heckling and/or ignoring each other. We all should have a first hand look at these fine upstanding representatives at work!

No doubt it's one of the most interesting and beautiful places in Victoria. The building has its own spirit, atmosphere. Stained glass windows, decor and memorials remind about recent past. It's definitely worth a visit.

Go on the Legislature tour on a weekday at 9 am for about one and one half hours - thoroughly fascinating as one discovers why BC actually joined Confederation among other factoids. If the Parliamentary Players happen to be around glom onto them and it is the best free entertainment possible. Want to nosh after 11 m?? Go downstairs to the Leg cafeteria for excellent affordable prices in great surroundings. Stll angry that MLA's get this perk but you pay for it , so do not be shy. Politicians s are not my thing at all but their digs are for all to experience here. Another Vitoria secret .... Gregor Campbell

Did you know that the BC Legislature building is also the home of a great little restaurant? Yes, it is. So besides being drenched in historic architecture you can experience BC politics and dine too. The grounds are impeccable. The building is a sight to behold in the twilight and evening hours. It is a must see if you are coming to Victoria.

Summer is the best time to take a tour. At this time of year, they put on a good show for the public. There are people dressed up in clothing from other time eras who keep to their character. Each actor has good knowledge on the person she/he is representing. It is a good tour for families or anyone with an interest in history. The legislature building is impressive. I would highly recommend it.
