      We don;t normally stay in 5 star places like this (family of 4 , 2 boys 5 and 8) but thought we'd have a lovely Christmas here. It was great. The rooms are large and well appointed with free wi fi and good water pressure in the shower. The staff were beautiful and the kids got a stocking for Christmas, They were also very helpful in setting up the delivery of presents for us to give the kids on the day and a birthday surprise for me on arrival (thanks hubby). All in all we had a wonderful time and would go back any time

      It's shoulder season and yet you'd never know. The staff and service were wonderful, helpful (thanks Manuel), and ready to respond. The Fairmont establishment continues to meet the highest of all my expectations. Love the chocolates, the food, and the spa. What a great get away!

      . . . if you don't mind the occasional black bear holding off your tee! Though it was my husband who golfed, he asked me to review, saying it was the most stunning of views on a golf course he'd ever seen. He was shaken by the presence of a couple of bears (common on the course - and non-threatening), but thought the experience as a whole was fantastic.

      I recently returned from a weekend tournament at the golf course and could not have been happier. The course was in fantastic condition and the greens were some of the smoothest I've played all year. After my initial round I commented as such to some of the staff and they informed me that 11 of the greens had to be replaced this year. Kudos need to go out to the greens keeping staff for that feat alond. The hospitality of the staff was bar none and I don't believe anyone in our entire group had a bad time the entire weekend at the course, apart from a few wayward shots due to operator error. I would also like to point out that not many head professionals at resort courses, and I've been to many, would even bother to introdouce them selves to you let alone inquire about your golfing experience after the round. This was a very plesant surprise. All in all I would definetly visit this facility again as the views, the course, the staff and espically the head professional all strove to ensure my party had an excellent time.

      This establishment really is a major disservice to all things associated with the Fairmont brand. Beware if you plot the course on google map as it will take you past the lost lake to their training facility and not to the actual pro shop. Also, if you are not staying at fairmont, you are expected to drive to the hotel and have your car valet parked and then you will be driven over, all free of charge, but it adds another 20 minutes to your arrival time. Something no one will tell you. We arrived 10 min past our tee time due to the map and parking issue. They told us to skip #1 and start at #2. The staff said they don't use google maps to get to the course!!!. In any case, we refused as this was not our fault and so they pushed our tee time one hour. On a positive note, we were paired with a really nice couple celebrating their 21st. Greens are in horrible condition. Tee boxes are all ripped up. You can tell that no one bothers to repair divots or ball marks. Fairways and Green get no love from ground crew.The cost is $159 but the "GPS" cart is mandatory so the real cost is $190. "GPS" carts are actually a scam. One of those cheap LCD displays with distance. The nice GPS screens with yardage are a thing of the past. They did not renew their contract last year because of price point. Worse yet, the course is rented out to group events and corporate parties who are not there to golf, but only to party. Beware if you are in the midst. Management has no control over them and they will ruin your experience. They crowd belongs on whistler village, but then again the course looks like it at times with the crowd. I spoke to the head PGA professional Padraic O' Rourke on the 18th when we were suddenly overtaken by a rambunctious crowd from intrawest, but Mr PGA professional did nothing but expressed his frustration and confirmed that others had also complained about the same group. Staff is young and inexperienced. Not one of them has a clue what a yardage book is. First one gave me a scorecard, another one ran inside the proshop and brought back the handicap register. As if all this was not enough, at the end of 18, we were greeted by the PGA Professional Padraic O' Rourke. My first thought was he was coming out to apologize again. No such luck. Instead, they accused us of not paying. Apparently, the staff that had checked us in and watched us wait for an hour in front of the pro shop, had a realization later on in the day while we were on the course that one of us had not paid. CAN YOU SAY RUDE, Humiliating, and horrible customer service. In any case, my buddy produced his debit card statement on the phone, and I showed my cart ticket that I was issued. But they kept insisting that one of us had not paid. The clerk behind the counter accused me of using my partner's ticket. After half an hour of back and forth, we exchanged information and they drove us back to our car parked at the hotel. Two days later, my credit card statement confirmed that I had indeed paid. This is not a $200 golf course. There are many other better options out there. Their staff is typical of Whistler transient, temporary, help that knows nothing about golf or customer service for that matter. We will not be back.

      i loved this course, very scenic and challenging. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We were lucky to be there in great weather so that definitely helped. Could not walk this course.

      The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location... We arrived pretty late and threw money at our meal and drinks, but that is what you do sometimes in the name of convenience. The hotel is in a perfect location and we really enjoyed our view from our room. Although, I do have a suggestion for travelers: Unload your car at the front of the hotel and Park in the self parking about 1 block away - you can park there for $30/ month rather than $39 -self & $41 Valet PER DAY.

      Loved this course. Views around the course are beautiful. Lots of elevation changes and tricky greens make it a challenge but also fun. Walking the course is not an option. Staff is friendly and helpful. Next time I would give myself more time -- didn't realize there is no parking at the golf course so you are shuttled from the Chateau Whistler hotel to the pro shop, and pro shop to the practice range which all takes a little extra time. Shuttle service is very efficient.

      dropped for drinks and food late at night, good service, food and live music. great atmosphere and location.

      Very much enjoyed this coarse , excellent shape and the staff was great. Views on coarse were worth the fact that it is a hard coarse
