This stunning lake is accessed off the #5 Coq highway near the summit. It's only a couple of kilometres hike through a well marked trail system off the side road to get to it. When the lake is frozen over, and covered in snow in the winter it is quit a sight. Great snowshoeing opportunities!

My wife and I discovered this from a hiking brochure when visiting Hope, BC, Canada. To reach the trail head, take Route 5 north east from Hope, BC to exit 221. The drive is very scenic. After taking the exit, pass under Route 5 and drive the only paved, spur road at the interchange. The spur road's pavement ends at the large parking lot for the trail head (about 500 m). Hike the gravel road over the stream and turn left onto the trail. The trail is about 1 km, paralleling the stream which flows from the lake. The lake is very nice. There are two wooden platforms for tents, making this a nice, easy backpack trip. We had the trail to ourselves on our Wednesday afternoon hike.
