Camped here for a few days in August and was totally surprised at how awesome it was.Here is what I liked1) great campsites, level and really well maintained2) great access points to lake3) great boat launch4) great park staff5) well priced canoe rentals6) amazing beach and beautiful waterDefinitely recommend bring bikes and good hiking shoes for the trails.There is no cell coverage so be prepared to disconnect.

This is our second visit to this park, both times staying a couple of nights. One of our favourites for sure. Large lake that is always windy, so paddling will take a bit of work. You can either rent canoes or bring your own watercraft. There is a small boat launch available.There is a day use picnic area, beach area, and a dog beach area. So something for everyone. The camping pads are very standard provincial park style. Some are doubles, some are reservable online, and all of them have excellent privacy. Quiet time is 11pm but you might still get the odd partying young crowd.Bathrooms are no flush outhouses. They are not pleasant. I've seen better but they do keep it well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If the bathroom was cleaner, I would have given it the extra star.Highly recommend it.

We camped here for three nights mid-week and enjoyed the quiet of the campground and the park. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the beach was quite nice. The water is cold, but it felt good as the afternoons were hot. The only downside was a lack of good trails. There are basically two trails - one goes up to the goat lookout and was a nice hike with scenic views. The other was a forest walk with many small streams and a couple of larger creeks to cross (the larger ones with log bridges), but hardly any view other than the dense forest. If you like quiet, mid-week was a great time to go. The campsites are generally private with lots of trees. Flush toilets would be nice, but not a necessity. A few more good hiking trails would make this a 5 star location.

It can be difficult to find a good campground within reach of Vancouver. I hesitate to even write this review, because I think I want to keep this place to myself! It is basic, so this isn't for campers who need all the mod cons. No power, pit toilets. But they do have canoe rentals on the lake, and quite reasonably priced too. Lake is beautiful, but cold, so if you are hoping to wash in the lake during your stay, you'll have to be pretty hardy. However, the community centre in Pemberton does have public showers for $3.50, so you can grab a shower if you go into town for supplies. Staff were great. Our dog was just crazy happy at the dog off leash end of the beach, which was very popular with other dogs. This made having a picnic a bit challenging with all the dogs sniffing around, but its clearly marked as a dog area so that's what you you get. The largest section of beach is closed to dogs, so you can easily escape them. D'Arcy has a very small store for minimal basic supplies. Nearest main centre is Pemberton.

A great provincial park, good campgrounds with basic amenities (water, outhouses, firewood for sale) and nice camping sites in a fairly heavily forested area.The lake has excellent fishing--be sure you have a sport fishing license--swimming beaches and picnic areas.The campgrounds are very popular so book ahead especially for summer weekends. If it is a long weekend best to arrive Thursday especially if you are aiming for a FCFS (First Come, First Serve) non-eservable site.There are several nice hiking trails in the park.D'Arcy is the nearest town with telephone, cafe and Anderson Lake (also excellent fishing). There is no cellular service, the nearest signal is about 25 km away on the road to Pemberton. The turn-off to the lake is about 34.4 km from Mt. Currie along Portage Road towards D'Arcy (Mt. Currie is 6 km past Pemberton which is 32 km past Whistler. It is about 14 km to the Lake and Campgrounds from the turn-off, most of the way on a maintained gravel road.
