For beginner skiers, this is a great option. There are a few Bunny/Green Hills to choose from and in terms of length, the runs are longer than most Bunny Hills I've seen at other GTA Ski spots. If you can snag an online deal, the discounted price on lift tickets and rentals makes the drive worthwhile. i would recommend getting there early to avoid the crowds - early birds get the snow worm!

We purchased our lift tickets for 50% off on-line and only paid $30.00 each for the day.The facilities were definitely lacking in some areas. Out of order toilets and lack of toilet paper were discouraging. The menu at the cafeteria is basic hotdog / burger fare. Must say the onion rings were GREAT.Unfortunately the best run on the hill was closed most of the day for " ski team training " although it appeared the team members didn't actually use that run. Also the runs to one side of the hill were closed and the T-bar was not in use.Ski team members also seem to have no issue with simply butting into the chair lift line saving themselves the wait.As the day progressed the hill got progressively busier and the only lift in use developed a very long line. Most of the skiiers were obviously beginners and created choas both on the runs they didn't have the ability to ski and, at the bottom of the hill as they crashed into the chair lift lineup due to an inability to stop. It was quite a sight to see people try to snowplow in a straight line ( no turning or control at all ) down the steepest runs on the hill.Added to all this were parents with young children who didn't assist their kids getting off the lift resulting inmany off-loading wipe outs and at least one little girl falling off and having the chair go over top of her.We decided to leave before the end of the day as it was quite easy to see that although we are more than adequately skilled skiiers, it was getting unsafe. The actual skiing was more than adequate, with a well laid out hill plan and quite good snow conditions. We arrived just as the hill opened and thoroughly enjoyed our first 2 1/2 hours of skiing. If you can get a deal on your lift ticket, don't mind a sub-par lodge, and have the opportunity to ski when the hill isn't busy Skyloft provides an adequate day of skiing for a GTA ski hill.

only one lift, hardly any sign indicating difficulty of each runs, lower parking lot has a steep slope making it easy to slip if traffic stops you mid way, staff at ticket office didn't offer map of runs even when told it was our first time there.

      i) Poor Parking space, and the parking person wouldn't help much either, everybody was getting stuck.ii) I slipped while getting on the lift and the lift person didn't even stop it! that was big SAFETY HAZARD, the other person just fell on me on the lift.iii) Short of equipment, Goggles were gone, shoe sizes were not there although we paid for rental.iv) Rude staff, we paid for group training session missed it by 4 minutes, we tried to get into the next group session and they asked $60 for it, no discounts or whatever.Stay far away from this place.

poor table and chair layout: can't get in and out of the area. chairs designed to catch on clothing. slow lift. short run. parking guide was an idiot. full menu not available. fountain broken. washrooms not stocked. plumbing not working. smells like an outhouse. worst place i've seen in 30 years of skiing. and they charge 60$ for this. outrageous. i wish i could rate it worse than terrible. what a complete waste of money and time.

Over all a pretty small hill but great for people who are just learning. Has lots of easy hills to help master snowboarding or skiing fundamentals. No terrain park whatsoever. The runs are all pretty short, the longest will take you about 20 seconds to go down. The lift also runs pretty slowly, but I think it's to accomodate the children and beginners who tend to frequent this place.Over all the $30 day and $20 night specials are very well priced compared to nearby Lakeridge and Dagmar offerings. I wouldn't go back if they wanted anymore then $30 for a night pass though, since the place is so small. I'd rather go to Lakeridge or drive 2 hours up to Blue Mountain for better runs.

Prices are good, but everything else is dub par. 1. There were only 5 runs open (despite the resort saying there were 12 open). I think the. Place only has 10 runs to begin with2. The rental equipment is terrible and poorly maintained. Every pair of boots was soaked inside, and the skis are falling apart.3. The staff are generally unfreindly and the owner doesn't seem to care about the poor reputation of his place. My sense is this place is in its twilight and the current owners are running it into the ground. If you love in the area I would recommend Dagmar. If not, don't drive their...even if it's a great price!

I had a wonderful time taking my family to Skyloft. the slopes were in good condition and groomed very well. The view was incredible and the environment was very family oriented and friendly even though there were some very challenging runs . The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately when I went on a Saturday the hill was very busy and crowded at spots but the lines weren't too bad. Good food.Amazing lodge and view Overall the value of skiing or boarding at Skyloft is impossible to beat for the price.

Skyloft is close to Toronto, but has great elevation. It was foggy when we went, so the views were limited, but on a clear day you can see a long way. A variety of runs, well groomed, and efficient lifts kept us moving all day. Somewhat limited fare in the snack bar, but that might be because it was during the week.

let me start off by saying that my family has been buying season passes at dagmar for a few years now. last year however we wanted to take my nieces snowboarding for their first time and skyloft had a great deal on lift and rentals. never again. so hard to find equipment that fit properly. their equipment has seen better days - yes i know LOTS of people rent but still - and is extremely outdated. this place is PACKED all the time. i mean so packed its hard as a non boarder to find even one chair to sit and wait. the hills are really not for beginners. my kids and hubby are probably considered intermediate boarders and they found it very difficult to teach the girls to board on the hill. they had another special this year and my kids out and out refused to go back so we paid extra to take the girls this year to dagmar. i will admit they do have a beautiful picture window to look out onto the skiiers. i have heard that this is a beautiful place in the summer for venues but as a ski hill take your money and go elsewhere.
