After moving out of Southwestern Ontario, I spent 6 days over Thanksgiving in Port Stanley. It had been a 'while' since I visited. I took in all the sights and favourites offered in the area and with incredible delight realized that Picard's was still going strong and open for business! I DO NOT want to tell you how many bags of customized peanuts, chip nuts, chocolate dainties and what not - I took home for my family and friends. This place is SECOND TO NONE! Fresh home grown peanuts, treated with loving care and absolutely irresistible. I dare you to open a bag and NOT finish it... All reasonably priced, a plethora of flavours offered and a staff who obviously loves their product and 'exudes' friendliness. Helpful to the extreme and the entire shopping experience is memorable and OH SO TASTY! Go - you'll see...

We drove by this on our way to Southwold Earthworks and almost stopped but decided to go on our way back. Almost forgot to stop on our way to the next attraction but pulled in at the last minute before we turned. When I first walked in, I was astounded by how many people were crammed into this medium sized bulk-barn type store. There are rows and rows of different types of peanuts, both covered and natural. There are also an assortment of other things, like dip mixes, chocolate covered raisons and cherries, along with scone and cornbread mix. As a previous individual mentioned the chip covered peanuts are lik crack, and extremely addictive. If I enjoyed junk food more, we probably would have come home with a lot more stuff, but there are a few things we will probably go back for. Prices are reasonable, and there was an endless stream of people going through. The prices are quite reasonable, and there is definitely no shortage of selection. I do not normally review stores as types of attractions, but when you come across a specialty store and location like this I figured giving the location it's due recognition was required. They also serve Ice Cream

This was an unexpected bonus on our way to Niagara on the Lake. So many flavors of nuts coated in chips! There were samples to try as well. I couldn't choose just one flavor over the rest so I took home garlic, cheese and bacon, and sour cream flavored nuts as well as maple flavored peanut brittle! Everything was delicious!

Take a good twenty minutes out of your shopping day for this place. They have every kind of peanut imaginable along with lots of other goodies. Don't get me started on the chip nuts, they're like crack for armchair quarterbacks. There's candy, chocolate covered everything, nuts covered in goodness, fudge, sun flower seeds and gift boxes and the list goes on and on so take your time to browse I'm sure there is something for you here.
