The Hub Trail will take you around the city of Sault Ste Marie, past many of the main attractions. Trail is well maintained for foot and bicycle traffic. Accessible all year round, I recommend it as a nice evening walk.

Fantastic way to get out and enjoy some fresh air, see various parts of Sault Ste Marie and some extraordinary views of wilderness right in the heart of the city. Some legs take users right along the St Marys River, within view of what Earnest Hemingway said was the best fly fishing in the world, the St Marys' Rapids. Other legs take users through spectacular wilderness and high above the Fort Creek valley over awe inspiring bridges. The trail is a great start for a city that has lagged behind the rest of the cities in Canada in terms of developing bike trails and facilities alternative to motor vehicles. It's shameful the trail is not winter maintained as many citizens of the city and visitors would use it year round.

You have urban to natural. Well marked 26 kilometer trail. Many parking areas to pick up the trail at many spots.

Love walking on the trail with the children.paved through the fort creek area. The only issue is in the spring you find out how many people don't pick up after their dogs.

This recreational path is 24 km long and circumnavigates the city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It can be accessed from many points, but we started on the waterfront. Biking in a clockwise direction allows you to avoid a killer hill in the eastern section. The trail has urban sections and park like sections. It's relatively flat and is it's own designated paved path most of the way. There are two or three places where you share the road, but it's mostly in residential areas, so it's safe. The trail is well marked with a couple of exceptions, but pick up a map at the visitor's centre at the corner of Queen and Huron to help you out. Finally, you will bike right by the Holy Cow Ice Cream Parlour at 938 McNabb Street which served up the best ice cream we had in Ontario in three months of travels.
