I walk through these trails regularly. It has two access points: the main entry on Blackwell Side Road and an entry on Modeland Road via Dow Nature Trail. This is a great spot to see blue heron and many other birds, small animals, and various insects. There are many benches at key viewing points, so bringing a picnic in the summer is a good activity. If you would like to find a geocache, there are several hidden in this park. Some are only accessible one day of the year at a geocache event. There are portable washrooms available in the summer. The trail has a lot of twists and forks off onto small trails, so keep any little ones close. This is not a stroller-type trail. If you have a baby, bring a carrier or a sling. Baby changing and feeding facilities are not available, so plan accordingly. Many people walk their dogs along this trail and the chipmunks and squirrels are very tempting for furry friends, so keeping your dog on a lead at all times is very important. The main trail around the north lake is wheelchair accessible if the ground is dry. The south lake trail has a lot of hills and big mud puddles, so that may not be a good option. The lookout over the south pond has stairs, but no wheelchair access.Cycling is popular on this trail, but motorized vehicles are not allowed. At a brisk walk, one could walk the trail around both the north and south ponds in under an hour, but if you want to stop and "smell the roses", give yourself more time.

Wawanosh Wetlands is a large, natural area featuring a large pond popular with the ducks and geese. There are numerous walking paths and a picnic area. Portable toilets in season. Wawanosh is connected by a pedestrian bridge to the Suncor Nature Way. This is also a natural area primarily established as a storm water control area that has seen plantings added to enhance its natural appeal. Very popular with walkers, cyclists and dog walking. Overall, the combined area is a great place to relax and enjoy the solitude of nature..

Went for a short hike and a picnic on the shore with our daughter and nephew in May. Such a gorgeous spot, close to the highway but quiet and set apart. Trails were well maintained, park was beautiful. The kids freaked when they saw a Blue Heron perched across the river from us.A great spot to slow down and enjoy the world around you.

Found these trails by accident, loved the hike through. Spent a good couple of hours going through on a nice sunny day. ..

This nature preserve is near Sarnia, and a great visit in the Spring or Fall. Lots to watch, with trails to follow.

I love walking around here when I come for a visit. Sometimes the mosquitos aren't so great, but the quietness and beauty of the place are outstanding.

Wanawash wetland trails is the perfect trail to walk and reflect. You can walk the trail in approx 45 -60 min and you can do the circular section as cross country training. sit along the water side and reflect and relax. Watch the geese and listen to the birds ... perfect place to unwind after a hectic day
