Stopped in for an afternoon tasting on March 2nd with four friends. We were served by Sheldon who was by far the best host we had encountered all afternoon. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when it came to choosing our wine. Sheldon exceeded our expectations that afternoon for sure!!!!!

This past weekends Five Elves tour was terrific. This was our first visit to Maivoire Winery, and it will not be our last. The Cab Franc ice wine is great and the passion that Gary and the other staff have is infectious . Don't forget to stop outside at the Cheezy Guys and get a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich you won't regret it. This winery was a surprise for us and we had a great time there. David from Mississauga

Loved the wine tasting and the knowledge of the young lady that served us. She made some great suggestions and we actually enjoyed her selections.

We did a bit of a wine tour and went to 4 wineries. This was by far the best. Not necessarily because of the set up but because of the staff and ethos. Every other one we went to was too much of a hard sell. Here they were just wanting to show off what they do. We had tasted 3 or 4 and although we had already decided what we were buying the guy really wanted to show off his other wines as well so we got to taste a load more even though he already knew he had sales. Knew his stuff and talked through all those we tasted. The cheese guy outside was great as well. As for the fruit flies I also commented on this and as the guy there said "we are making wine dear...!!!" it was then I realised that this was also one of the only wineries where the vats are within the tasting room - or at least of the ones we visited as I realise there are loads in the area. And the tasting room is literally within the vines. Great value wines and great afternoon.

I hesitated to revisit Malivoire - last time the place was infested with wasps. I'm glad Mrs talked me into it (we had recently tried their Guility Men red - great!). Well they were offering a wine tasting just outside the entrance offering a couple of wines and two cheeses. All fantastic.. They also had a guy serving outrageous grilled cheese sandwiches! You got to try this!

This is my 2nd year in a row at Malivoire and it never ceases to impress! What a great selection of wines. There is something here for everyone! The staff is always cheerful and joking around while being knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

This was the first stop on the wine tour and I was very disappointed. The wines were ok the environment was not very comfortable and we did not get a tour of the facility. We were not greeted with a glass of wine as per the other stops on the tour. Not hospitable after the first two sampling I had to ask many times for a glass of water. When I finally received my water I just went outside to wait for the rest of my group.

We hit the tasting jackpot with Mallory as our guide on a serendipitous stop at Malivoire. As we wound our way through a comprehensive tasting journey she was attentive, instructive, patient and insured we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Their 2012 Pinot Gris was light and zippy and an unexpected surprise as I'm not a particular fan of this varietal. The 2012 'Alive' Chardonnay, $19.95, crispy and contained a buttery texture unexpected for a chard that's 42% un-oaked. Whereas the much pricier 2012 Mottiar Chardonnay, $29.95, I found lacking in oak flavour but otherwise full of suggestive citrus flavours. There is a world of difference between their 2011 and 2012 Gewürztraminer, both $24.95, with the former lacking quintessential varietal characteristics and the latter displaying it in spades. It’s one of my favourite varietals so I’m not easily satisfied with less than ideal examples. The 2013 Musque Spritz, $19.95, which is delicious, light, fun and you can imagine whiling away a summer afternoon on the patio with it. As the name implies is slightly effervescent which is a welcome touch. In case you haven't heard of this varietal it's a Chardonnay clone. We hit an off flavour issue with the 2010 Alive Pinot Noir, $24.95. My tasting partner insisting that it had a slightly metallic taste. This is where Mallory’s customer service really shone through in the way she handled it. First questioning whether this was really the case. After tasting the Pinot herself and not being able to find the flaw she spoke to a more senior colleague. Who realized this particular bottle had been opened from the previous day and suggested opening another, thereby resolving the issue. Not to the degree that my fellow tippler was willing to buy it but appreciated the effort and attention paid to her concern. The 2010 Mottiar Pinot Noir, $34.95, was softer and more enjoyable. Kudos to Mallory for the attention given, graciousness displayed and genuine passion for Ontario wines. This wonderful experience illustrates how two wineries could not be more different... We had a fantastic time at Malivoire. Our hostess was very generous in her time and pours. The wine was delicious, particularly the whites. Our favourite winery so far in Niagara.
