Over 200 camp sites along a Rushing River on Dog Tooth Lake about 12-15 miles from Kenora. I get a season pass and use the hikes along the lake and river as one of my favourite photo spots.I am an official friend of Rushing River helping put on Fund Raising Bar B Qs in the summer. There are two excellent beaches canoe and kayak rentals and well over 200 Camp sites. Book in advance some are tent sites without power some are drive through motorhome sites no matter what type of camping you do it has a perfect site for you we camp annually although it is only 5 miles from our home. Two great playgrounds for kids and activities for both children and adults alike. A photo destination summer and winter.

Rushing River Park has a lot to offer travellers. It has beautiful beaches an awsome rushing river falls, picnic areas and camping spots. This park has great walking trails and a wonderful place to visit or camp at.

Rushing River Provincial Park has been a family tradition for years since we lived in Kenora. Love sitting at a picnic table having lunch and listening to the river. Many trails to walk. Seeing the wild life and picking wild blueberries in season are some of the things I love here. There is a beautiful spot to swim at as well. In August of each year there is a lovely event put on by "The Friends of Rushing River" hosting singers, guitar players and the like. I will be going to this in August of this year 2015. Best tranquil place to be

The beauty of it depends on the level of rain over the year. Beautiful place to take pics.Love that it is a shirt drive from Kenora.

Very beautiful lot's of fun for the kids. Hiking biking, and the prettest camping sites around. There are very beautiful water falls and sight seeing trails. The camp grounds are cleane and well kept.

the site is nice. The campsite is right beside from the river and also isolated by the tree. I try to fish but totally need to go with local next time

Rushing River provincial park is but a 20-30 minute drive south east of Kenora Ontario. It is a wonderfully shaded paradise with terrific photographic vistas along the rushing river and cool ponds for a summer's dip to refresh. Great facilities allow for group gatherings and great camping. A true treasure in the great northwest of Ontario.

We have been walking and hiking Rushing River for almost 40 years. As we live fairly close, we do not camp but prefer to enjoy the park either before or after the camping season. This is a very beautiful Provincial park located along a picturesque river/waterfall that also provides access to a network of pristine lakes such as Dogtooth and Kilvert. Once the campground is closed for the season, you can still walk the park but you are expected to pay, guessing your length of stay, using a ticket dispenser. This I find rather sad given there are no services, not even toilet paper in the outhouses. Participaction and healthy lifestyles are what its all about, not nickle & diming people who simply want to enjoy Ontario's beautiful outdoors.

The fam and I decided to drive to Rushing River from Kenora for a picnic. The campground was closed so we pulled into the picnic area. The kids really enjoyed the wading into the current of the river and running across the bridges. What a wonderful place to visit. The canadian shiled is so beautiful. Highly recommended to anyone in the area or just passing through.

We have been going to Rushing River for years. It has everything, but mostly the best natural swimming hole anywhere. The swimming hole is located just above the rapids and near the southerly campsites. It has a small beach, rocks to dive off and will accommodate any level of swimmer. The 400 campsites, which are bisected by Dogtooth lake, are generally private and there is a good selection of RV sites and tent only sites. Canoeing and power boating is excellent. A good number of canoe routes, day and longer, originate from the campsite. A retail business one km. from the park entrance rents canoes, kayaks and water bikes at the park. Many of the camping sites are on or near the water. Park staff are friendly and run a number of interpretive programs throughout the summer. Sites 1 through 38 are for larger RVs and are more like a private campground. You might want to stay here all summer. Love it.
