You will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of the shows here. I have not been disappointed yet. A very cozy room so your up close to the actors and they have to be good!

We saw a production of 'Educating Rita' with a cast of two, they held our attention throughout with genuine English accents. The set, lighting and sound were all professional. Very high standard of theatre and the place was full.... amazing as they are playing most evenings.

Please check out the excellent packages with the Inn and theater. This is an area that is breathtaking and worth a weekend - or a few days - of rest, relaxation and a live performance. Well worth every minute.

Went with my wife to the afternoon show on Saturday to see Educating Rita. The interior of the building is impressive solid oak. The balcony overlooking the St.Lawrence river is breathtaking. The option to enjoy a beverage before the show and during the intermission of the show was delightful. There is not a bad seat in the playhouse. The staff was helpful and patient. Hats off to the actors who were extremely talented. I would recommend this type of attraction for a romantic couples outing.

Only two actors and they were great, so much dialogue and they did wonderful. The location is beautiful, right on the water.

A last minute whim took us to the playhouse and we were glad we went. The price was a little high for a small production but the play was fun.

Went to see an evening performance of "Waiting for the Parade". Wonderful performance by all of the actresses. The venue is gorgeous. Intermission out on the patio overlooking the water was lovely. For some reason the theatre was overheated though. And some students filled a few rows ahead of us. Often we found ourselves craning to see around the folks in front. Would go again. Ushers were fantastic!

Always an exciting line up of shows - a great mix and a really attractive venue (how can you go wrong with a balcony overlooking the 1000 Islands). Very friendly front of house staff and box office staff. Comfy seats in the Springer - and the Firehall is always offering up something new and different. Go for a matinee and take a walk around Gananoque before or after the show. Sets are always interesting, acting first class and the musicals are well orchestrated. An easy and scenic drive from Ottawa, Kingston, Montreal, Toronto.

We five attended a playing of "The Importance of Being Ernest" in August. Parking can be a bit tight on the local streets, so I recommend arriving a bit early and maybe having a drink (or a meal?) at a local pub before heading to the theatre. The main theatre is large, but not too big, and you get a pretty good view from all the seats. The play was very well done, and we all enjoyed it immensely. We didn't use any of the snack and drink facilities on site, so can't comment on them. I recommend an evening at the playhouse for an enjoyable evening out if you're in the Gananoque area.
