We have been visiting Killman Zoo for over 20 years. We always bring our cameras, and our friends and family too. We love the natural sanctuary environment, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and their entire fuzzy family. Big cat feeding time is one of our favourite times at the zoo. What an incredible, powerful and awe inspiring one-of-a-kind experience. We also adore the lion cub cuddles. It is so amazing to bottle-feed baby lions. Thanks to Killman Zoo, over the years, we have touched baby ferrets, cougars, lions and tigers and many more. We return to Killman again and again for more and more once in a lifetime experiences.

What an amazing place to visit!! Spent time with the owners and learned so much about the animals homes and needs......the cats are my favorite and seem to be very happy in their homes. They have lots of love and care and a huge cat run and pond area to play in and run which they rotate through each lion for they like their own time and space. The cages were very well maintained and clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They treat the animals as their own family which is a quality I personally love! I am glad that they have such a huge cat collection and I cant wait to visit again in the spring!!! Good job guys!

i went to visit the zoo with family members and friends on several occasions over the past summer of 2014. We are in awe of the energy there. One of my friends, and animal communicator loved it as well! The animals who all were born in protective settings, i.e. not in the wild nature do not know any other and seem very content with the excellent loving care they receive at the Killman Zoo. Because of it size, the zoo is very personable and an environment where one can really communicate with the animals. the animals sense whether you respect them and in gratitude for being able to visit them. They similarly can sense whether you take them for granted and do not pay attention to them. it is all about interaction at this magical private, small size zoo.RS and family.

Great people, nice animals. It was amazing to see the Big cats. :) :) :) If you do not like zoo's or believe in them, this is not the place.

The Killman Zoo....from the compassionate, caring, knowledgeable staff to the close proximity of the animals to the visitor, this Zoo should be a must on your list of attractions to visit. It's woodland setting and non commercialized environment lend to a greater experience. For the family with children there is plenty for them to experience and the lion cubs offer hours of playful enjoyment for them to behold. I would definitely recommend a visit to this Zoo to a friend.

First off I took a trip last weekend to Toronto and the surrounding area.(I live on L.I.)1.All you misguided people trying to shut this place down need to stop. All the really big cats have enclosures they stay in and a 2 and a half acre meadow, pond they are able to enjoy on certain days of the week. They are not stuck in tiny enclosures all the time. You know how I know this?I ASKED. 2.I love photography and took well over 2500 pics of all sorts of cool animals.1 year old lion cubs greeted me in the parking lot,a beautiful female tiger roamed her day of the exhibit I spoke of above and they had the biggest, scariest, most awesome black Jaguar I've ever seen.(And they're my all-time favorites). They had 2 more Jaguars,a bunch of Lynx and Cougars,Wolves,Foxes,Babboons,Macaques,Lemurs,a Wallaby,Bear,Cavies,Elk,Deer,Emus and a whole bunch of farm animals.None looked sick or bored or malnurished.I've seen enough terrible places who call themselves zoos and this place is not one of them.3.The staff their was awesome.I spoke to the girl at the ticket booth about the zoo for at least 15 minutes.Mostly about the crack pot who had a Coyote living in her bathroom and when it was confiscated they took him to Killmans. Now at first the woman was happy to know the Coyote was living there. But after learning she couldn't visit and go in the exhibit or walk the Coyote on a leash in the zoo she took to her soap box and saturated social media with lies and false statements about the zoo.I spoke to 2 more keepers for easily an hour about how hard it is for a small zoo to make improvements, especially with all the negativity about the zoo wrongly posted. These keepers work 70-80 hours a week to make sure these animals have the best possible care they can give.If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem.Visiting this lovely little zoo ensures that they can make improvements to all the animals enclosures.Try looking for the positive side,I did and it paid off immensely. Will definitely visit next time I go up to Canada.

I have been to the Killman Zoo at least 2x in my life, most recently in August 2014. The premises are in rough shape, and the "cages" are ramshackle and home-made at best. I don't purport to know much about zoos, or the quality standards that might be associated therewith, but this one looks like something you would see in a 3rd world country. Living conditions for the animals appear to be very poor and none of them appeared to be happy or content except the billy goats!. The washroom facilities for visitors consist of "porta-potties". The place generally reeked of animal urine (as other reviewers accurately stated), and while it has a relatively cheap admission price, and you can get really close to the animals, for the same price I would suggest the nearby Twin Valley Zoo in Brantford, ON, where the displays appear to be much higher quality, and the animals appear to be better taken care of. I won't get back again.

Off the beaten path and away from big city crowds. A great place to relax and see the animals up close! The best place on Earth to enjoy a picnic!

We are a home daycare agency called Wee Watch. We had a "Zoo Day" which was a day out for the children and their providers. We all had a great experience there! They put on a little show for us which gave everyone the opportunity to feel certain furs and feathers from the animals in the zoo. The staff was very welcoming and shared the life stories of a lot of their animals. They were involved with our group at a great amount. We will definitely be returning to the zoo! Thanks Killman Zoo for giving us an amazing day out with everyone!! I will be recommending them to anyone who asks!

Recently met 2 ladies that are affiliated with Killman Zoo. I told them I would make a point to finally visit the zoo I had seen signs advertising but had never visited. My 3 yr old loves animals, and as it was quite cool today, we decided to take a trip to Killman Zoo. We had a great time, the animals are very close! Nice to get such a birds eye view of so many amazing animals. We did buy peanuts to feed the animals but most ended up on the ground, my son's aim was not so great. The highlight of our day was being invited for a closer look at Rudy Valentino, the Wallaby. Paige was wonderful with Rudy and my son. Her love of the animals and passion for her job really shows. Those leaving negative reviews don't know what they are talking about, I love animals and was more than satisfied that they were well cared for and had the room and stimulation required by individual species. We had a fun day out, hope to make it back soon!
