A truly marvelous golf experience. The layout is spectacular, the course is well maintained, the greens are fast and sloping. Every hole is challenging with hole 14 in particular being a true test for all skill levels. The views from 1, 10 & 17 are stunning. The fairways are adequately wide, but when you miss the rough is low and playable. Not an easy course to score well on but one you are glad you played regardless. There wasn't any service carts on the course and the snack bar at the turn was inadequately stocked and service a little slow. The pro shop is nicely stocked and the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Avid golfers should have this course on their must play list, well worth the trip to Belleville.

Black Bear Ridge is a great course, already in the top 30 in Ontario and 100 in Canada. Well deserved with great conditions, layout and staff. The rounds are played in under 4hrs usually and the greens are the best in the area.

Great course, not suitable for beginners!!!! The greens are true and fast, the fairways are smooth. Pin placements are usually challenging!!! # 11 hole is over 600 yds. to a small green surrounded by water, defining hole for your round!!

I've been all over north America and this course is in the top three I've played. Greens running all the same speed with great design on all greens. You use every club in the bag. Need to be accurate off the tees and approach shots demand high soft shots. Pace of play is 4 hours. Each hole is separated well by trees. Well worth 3x the cost. A must play in Ontario.

We played the course twice- everyone we encountered were very nice. Not an easy course but enjoyed by our group. It is in very good condition considering how tough this winter. Use the speaker to order food between nines- the half way house makes your food to order so it takes a while to get it.
