I had been wanting to visit the new store for a long time... I finally had a day off and was able to make the 1 1/2 hour drive up to Bancroft to check it out. The 'uptight' ladies that run this shop clearly do not like children. At the front door is a sign that says "unruly children will be fed to the ogre in the basement". We were watched and followed the whole time as my 4 year old who was having a great time looking around at everything (without touching, as we'd discussed prior to going in the store). It was quite obvious that they were anxious for us to leave. Everyone else that entered the store (older & without children) were greeted in a friendly manner when they entered. Not a welcoming atmosphere at all, I was so disappointed. They do have some very nice items but if you are planning on dropping in with kids in tow, don't expect friendly service!

If you're looking for something unique this is the place. It's a busy little spot but fun to shop. The prices are not cheap. There is a lot of decor items and candles and even a bit of personal fashion items. The decor includes a lot of wrought iron, metal products. There are lots of wall hangings, door knobs and more.

The Old Tin Shed team have filled this shop to the brim with exciting and fresh ideas for your home and wardrobe. Even babies can look hip and happening in the cutest children's wear I have ever seen! Great job ladies - will pop back in when I'm next in the Bancroft area! :D

This is by far the best store in Bancroft (on par with the best anywhere I've been).Great selection of product at excellent prices. You can lose yourself looking around and shopping. Dagney and Janis (the owners) and their trained staff have a touch with customer service. You are valued and respected and we always enjoy the experience. Make the drive or be sure to stop in... we love it.

We went into Bancroft from our rented cottage on a rainy day and stumbled upon this lovely store. Lots of neat stuff - I ended up buying some costume jewellery. The sales staff was very nice and helpful.

The owners used to have this shop in a place the locals referred to as "The Old Tin Shed" where local festivities used to take place . It was a cute shed on Hastings St north. They recently bought an old church in town and turned it into a much larger shopping experience. Lots to see! A wonderful outing for girls weekend. There's something for everyone, things for the home, jewelry ,even some hardware items. It's very popular on weekends.
