I can wholeheartedly recommend Hans Tours for seeing many parts of the island and the Falls. We had an excellent day. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a relaxing and amusing swim in the Falls, watched a myriad of birds, experienced the rainforest (with liquid sun) and found Hans to be extremely knowledgable, courteous and a very good driver! Worth a visit.

We can heartily recommend booking trips with Hans Tours. We did an Island Tour with Hans in April 2014. His knowledge of the island and the wildlife / nature is exceptional. He would often stop on the way just to show us a special bird or fruit tree. His sense of humour is great and he gave us a day to remember. We drove to so many different locations on the island ranging from spectacular views to eating in a restaurant on the beach overlooking the 'little Tobago' island. Visiting and swimming in the Argyle Waterfalls was also on the agenda and the day was completed with ice cream in Scarborough. Hans Tours is a definite find!

We rented a car in Store Bay and drove all around the island and Argyle Falls were a highlight! They don't open until 9am, though, so don't get there too early (like we did) and the entrance is TT60pp. We didn't ask for or get a guide, which was fine - our companions were two very cute little puppies that wandered up with us. We spent an hour swimming in the falls and jumping into them as they are quite deep. We were the only ones there and only saw another couple pull in the lot as we were leaving.Definitely worth a visit, though ensure that your clothes are packed away as the cute puppies decided to use my boyfriend's favorite shirt and sock as chew toys...

Visited one day after heavy rain. The last path was blocked and the water brown due to the rain, but it was still worth it. The guides meet you at the parking, and you pay a small fee.

This is pretty rustic but charming enough. We paid $TT50 each to get to the waterfall. Tip: You DO NOT need a guide. This is madness. It's a 15 minute straight walk to the waterfall. You can't get lost. Just follow the very wide and clear path for 15 minutes. Simples. Top: you don't need hiking boots. We just wore flip flops (aka sandals, aka thongs) and made it there fine. If however you want to climb the falls, you may want sneakers (aka trainers, aka tennis shoes). The path to the falls is surrounded by flora with signs explaining the types of trees and what they are used for. The enormous bamboo bushes are worth the entry fee alone. There are also cocoa trees too in case you want to try to knock some of the pods down. The waterfall itself is pretty but don't expect Iguacu Falls or Niagara. You can climb up the side of the falls, there are ropes in order to pull yourself up. The view from the top is worth it. These falls are about 30-40 mins from Scarborough through charming villages. The drive itself is worth the trip. Bring a camera.
