你首先需要一辆机动车,一定要挑选那种性能比较好的适合长途跋涉探秘的那种。这里的海滩真的超级棒,非常不错,大家来到这里就能看见清澈的海水和洁白的沙滩,非常棒。

在去加拉加斯干盐湖的路上,有一个通往拉普拉塔河的分叉。如果可以的话,步行(或骑自行车)会比较好!这里很隐蔽,有白沙滩,是冲浪的完美圣地。发现这个海滩是我们在司岛度假最大的收获。

Vieques沙滩景色非常美,不过有时也会遭遇小偷。我们在沙滩上支起遮阳伞和椅子,后面是树木。一位警察走过来,提醒我们注意小偷,因为小偷会利用树木才行窃。小偷会在游客在沙滩上休息玩耍时偷摸地绕到游客后面偷走游客财物。请遵守以下三条:1.如果你有车,别将任何物品放在车里,而且车门不上锁。否则的话车窗玻璃很容易被人砸碎。2.要随时有人照看行李物品。如果你是夫妻游客,两人都想去游泳的话,那最好除了浴巾、椅子之外,其它东西都别带。3.如果你非得带照相机、手机等,那需要将它们放在自己眼前,而且不要放在树木那边。只要按照常识去做,就会一切顺利!警察好像在通缉某位罪犯,所以这点恐怕不太正常,不过还是小心为上吧。

Lots of area to cover, some roads are in really bad shape. I know everyone says that, but it is true. But worth making the effort. We explored the whole refuge. Take bug spray and some water. Make sure you read signs correctly and are out by closing time!

There are so many beaches on Vieques that it's impossible to do justice to them all. But we wanted to see what our federal tax dollars were doing at work on Vieques. Happy to report they seem well spent. The roads at the Refuge are paved and the facilities once you get to the beaches are on par with what you will find at any of the major national parks and wildlife areas on the U.S. Mainland (I'm thinking specifically of the Grand Canyon National Park). We will definitely spend more time at this one on a return visit.

On our first day, we jumped in our rented Jeep and checked out several of the beaches, just to get an idea of where we wanted to spend our next couple of days lounging and relaxing. They were all so beautiful with very few people. Some had waves to play in, while others were more protected for swimming. Take your pick. There is something for everyone.

Check out the beaches and snorkeling are awesome. Very few services at these beaches. Almost no bathrooms/showers/vendors at the beaches so bring lunch/water, chairs and umbrellas. Worth the drive on the dirt roads don’t be scared and keep an eye out for wild life. We saw mongoose, iguanas and lots of land crabs driving to the beaches.

Choose from a number of beautiful beaches, each with it's own unique characteristics. This was the highlight of our trip.

In general my trip to Vieques was disappointing. Getting gasoline for a car required hours of waiting. Going to the beaches we were warned to leave the car windows open and leave nothing inside - theft was common. While the beaches were beautiful, on the beach you had to guard your belongings. One person stood guard while the other went in the water. Not the way to enjoy a vacation.
