If you are looking for a beach to snorkel or swim this is not a good choice. This beach is great for boarding and surfing. There are restrooms nearby and a couple of bars. We went to Tamboo for drinks and lunch. If you want to relax on the beach and watch the surfers this is a good place for you.

Very nice beach, not many people there when we went! Low key! I will be back! Swimming is decent, waves can get a bit rough, so be careful. Fun to watch all the surfers! Bring your own booze and food or buy from Tamboo. Super fun!

OK for family style surfing and beginners. Good place if you are with kids or teens and are looking for a fairly safe Family style surfing day at the beach. Fair sized sandy beach for little ones and fairly easy in and out of the water for surfing, one of the easier places in Rincon to negotiate the coral upon getting in and out of the water.

While I’m partial to my own beach, this place was absolutely breathtaking. Most of the beach is natural and not congested with condos and high-rises and it is kept very clean. There were sections of the beach that were walled off by barriers of sorts, mostly rocks, and it was almost like several smaller, private beaches. The sand is course yet soft, the waves were large and lively, and the sunsets were spectacular. There were singles, young couples, and families all having a great time. This is an excellent place for surfing or whale watching.

Thus beach was amazing. It's not very crowded and you can spend the entire day there. With public bathrooms nearby it's easy to have a cheap day on the beach with a picnic. We brought a container and scooped up rocks when the waves went out and found a bunch of seaglass. If you do go to the lighthouse and have one of the ladies at the kiosk turn your findings into jewelery!

Large beach. Popular, but not crowded. Good place to relax and watch surfers. Great beach for walking. If you like long beach walks, go Sandy to Antonio's to River Mouth. That combination was our favorite beach walk. We picked up lots of sea glass and shells, too.

Beach was clean. This is not a "shelling" beach. This is definitely for surfers, boogie boarders and strong swimmers. Would be nervous letting small children in the water. Rip tides are very strong here. Week before we arrived 2 people drown. Our first day, 2 women were rescued by a surfer. The rip tide had pulled them, and they were unaware they should swim parallel to the beach to swim out of it. Scary! Also, in the winter, the sun doesn't set over the water here. You need to go down the coast by the lighthouse to get a true water sunset.

The water was beautiful with great waves. Walked the beach everyday in search of sea glass which was plentiful. Wish it wasn't a beach break - made it hard to just take a dip.

The best beach we found! Spent to whole day there watching surfers and taking in the waves. Large sections of the beach have sand openings unlike other beaches we found just have lots of rocks. Highly recommended

Tamboo is located at this beach. Grab a drink and have a great time. Water gets rough be careful. Take a walk down to the bendy palm tree all the way down the beach.
