Tortuga Beach was unlike I had ever seen before. Hardly anyone there, warm and calm waters, beautiful sand. We snorkeled on the other side of the island where Capt. Sebastian dropped us off with gear. It was like swimming in an aquarium. The hike to the lighthouse was fun with great views. Enjoyed the tide pools too.

Like a small Flamenco beach. Love it. Worthwhile to pay for the boat ride and spend a few hours there.

Our hostel - Culebra International - was super close to the "downtown" and ferry, super cheap as well as just a cab/golf cart ride away from Flamenco Beach. Downtown was cute at night - we ate at Yaco Taco but saw that the Dinghy and Mamacitas were both lovely at night with great music and cocktails. The Pan Deli was okay food but a super long wait for food. The cabs are always around but definitely save multiple cab drivers #s just in case. Our drive Raul stood us up twice.

Yeah, it takes a while to get there (1 1/2 hours) but the ferry ride was practically free ($ 4.50 for adults) and provided a smooth ride. I highly recommend renting a golf cart or jeep and survey the small island. Hilly and interesting with several beaches and vistas. Don't come here expecting party central. Pretty quiet. Bring a book or two. Flamingo Beach is excellent.

It was an hour's ride on the Fajardo Ferry. The island was very quiet but fun. We rented a Jeep for about $65 per day including insurance and drove around the island. We visited Zoni and Flamenco Beaches. We will be planning another trip there as soon as possible. On Flamenco Beach, there was pleanty for great spanish food and drinks. The beach was one one the prettiest, cleanest, bluest, beaches I have ever swam in. It's very romantic! It's a must do, must see!Zoni Beach was very pretty, clean, and blue as well but it's much more narrow as far as the sand. It's also difficult to drive to. There is a very scarry hill to drive down before reaching the parking lot.

I hate to have to write this review because the island/ beach are so pristine that I wouldn't want it spoiled by flocks of tourists roaming about. We sailed over from Culebra and spent a fabulous afternoon snorkeling, hiking, and swimming. The view of the cove is breathtaking and the water is crystal clear, so much so that you could see semi translucent fish swimming nearby. Wildlife can be seen as you hike the sandy path to the cove. We did not venture over to the baths at the far end of the cove but we have done so in the past. Make sure you have footware that can safely get you over some slippery rocks/boulders if you do intend to visit the baths. The experience is well worth it. You have to pack your own lunch/beverages because there are absolutely no concessions on Culebrita. It's remoteness makes it one of the most beautiful, natural wonders in the Caribbean.

We stopped here on a day trip for a few hours. What a beautiful beach. This is a MUST do if you are visiting Puerto Rico. The water is calm and incredibly clear. Bring food and drink with you as this is an uninhabited island. A good pair of shoes would be helpful to explore the island. There are several charter boats from Fajardo that will gladly take you there- it takes about 45 minutes. DO IT you won't be sorry.

What a great little day trip! After three years visiting the island we finally made it to Culebrita. It was a calm day and we could see for miles. The hike to the lighthouse is easy, but bring water. We were sad to see it in such disrepair and hope to see some revitalization funds heading their way.

Since the day I found out 'bout Culebrita I must admit I spend many hours dreaming about it. So on our second day in Culebra, we jumped on a boat and went to see it for ourselves. The boat trip was very quick and we had the chance to discover parts of Culebra we would not have seen by car. Alone for the beautiful blue and turquoise tones we had the chance to see on our way, this trip would had been great.Then we got to the West Beach at Culebrita, and we Were very impressed. You really have a Robinson Crusoe feeling there! There were stingrays on the shore. We went to snorkel and we saw a bigger one! Shells, corals, urchins. And the visibility under water is amazing. The view at the lighthouse is simply amazing, and Tortuga beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Culebra! You have to see it for yourself, because Culebrita is a dream in every way!

My family hired a taxi boat to take us here that dropped us off($50 a person roundtrip). First we went snorkeling, but personally I preferred the snorkeling at Tamarindo Beach. To go to the other two beaches or the lighthouse, there's a path. The trail was extremely delightful! There were several hermit crabs along the way :) I thought the main beach at the end of this trail was more beautiful than Flamenco Beach and there were only a few people out so it was definitely more enjoyable. Later we went to the other beach through which you take a path carved from bushes, you emerge from this leafy tunnel. At the time, this beach was filled with dumped seaweed, but it still was picture perfect. The light house at the top of the mountain was amazing. It appears to be in ruins and the trek up is extremely nerve-wracking, but wow the view! This island was just so unique! I would definitely come back again.
