We loved this excursion! The group was small so we all had time to hold and feed the rays without being rushed. The guides took photos, both with their own cameras and with ours. Definitely bring or borrow a mask and look at them underwater; they are so graceful and you can see them so well in the clear water. The guides seemed to really care about the rays and knew them by name and personality. The ray enclosure is just a fenced off area in the ocean, so they have a very natural and clean environment. Beware of the tides; when they are too low, the boat can't get to the ray enclosure - in our case, only the earliest tour was able to go.

My hubby and I just went on this excursion just last week and it was the highlight of our 4 day cruise! The staff and wranglers were absolutely wonderful. You could tell they loved what they were doing and were full of knowledge about the rays. I held Casper several times and she was so sweet!!! Feeding and holding these beautiful creatures was awesome and I highly recommend it!!! We too were in the first group of the day and only about 12 of us so lots of time to interact with them. And we were done about 11 am just in time for lunch! I plan to take my girls at graduation and we will be sure to book this one again!

We booked this excursion while on a Norwegian cruise in early January. This was an awesome experience. The Stingray City guides were very nice and gave great instruction in regards to moving about the rays and touching them. You have the choice of watching, feeding, and even holding the rays if you choose. If you travel to the Bahamas and get the chance, This is a must do!!

Booked this as our only cruise excursion and cannot be happier with the experience. I booked the earliest time slot (highly suggest choosing a time as early as possible) for my party of 6. As it turns out it was just our group and a nice family of 4 from Tennessee booked for this time slot. Following a nice safety briefing on how to handle, feed, and walk around the stingrays we enjoyed a short scenic boat ride for our encounter. The experience was amazing. I had petted smaller stingrays before at aquariums but these were huge. For me the best part was feeding them...that was something I will never forget. If your cruise ship offers this excursion...don't think about it...do it.

I went on 12/7/14 as part of norwegian sky excursion. We had a great time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. We were able to take pictures, hold and feed the Rays. It was a lot of fun and lots of time left to enjoy the beach and have fun too

This was wonderful. We not only got to hold and feed the stingrays, but we were educated about them as well. It is important to know about our world and how to take care of it. The rays were so soft as they swam by; it was amazing how they swam so close but still were able to avoid us (for the most part).

I booked this while on the Norwegian Sky. I am terrified of these creatures and as the boat was pulling up the enclosure I was thinking "Why on earth did I book this?!" I was totally freaked out when they would swim near me as they would touch my legs, but it was actually a soft smooth touch. I really wanted a pic with one & asked the guy if he would hold it and I could stand by it to get a pic. He said no I needed to hold it myself! After much reassurance I actually held this creature and I am so glad that I did. These guys were so patient with me and I sincerely appreciated that. The rays are like their pets a part of an extended family and the way they treat them is with much love and respect.

We booked this excursion while cruising on the Norwegian Sky. We took a very short boat ride to the stingray enclosure. It was pretty nerve racking being in this area with sting rays swimming next to you and rubbing up against you. The wranglers were super patient with everyone. We got to hold the stingrays and feed them. Snorkel gear was provided, so we got some great pictures of the stingrays under water. This was an awesome experience and we highly recommend it.

The Rays are at Goat Cay and the major market for the operator is the cruise lines, Royal Caribbean and Norweigian Cruise Lines both visit nearby private islands.We however were staying at Carriearl, a small boutique hotel on Great Harbour Cay so we got the best trip ever. The rays have to be fed whether the ships are there or not so we got to ride out from near the Marina on GHC to Goat Cay and had the place to ourselves, just us, the rays, the wranglers, and the starfish. On the way out we went through the mangroves and on the way back through "Starfish Alley", littered with foot wide starfish.The rays are fascinating, they are fed several times a day and associate humans with food so they'll crowd round you. You can touch them, feed them, and even hold them under supervision. You're standing in chest-high water and masks and snorkels are provided. The rays are up to five feet across and because this is a relatively new venture they are currently contained in a very large netted enclosure, however they are territorial and over the next year the net will be removed but the rays will stay there. The staff are knowledgeable and clearly have a passion for the rays and their welfare. They can recognise and name every single one of the 50 or so of them.My wife Jacqui was nervous but even she got in the water and greatly enjoyed it. If you get the chance, don't miss it!Mike

The staff was just awesome! We were the only people signed up for this excursion from our Royal Caribbean cruise and the staff at Stingray City was so kind and took us out anyway. We had a great time with the stingrays. It was very safe and very educational. I would not at all hesitate to take my three children next time. :)
