My husband and I spent 4 days last March while living in Antigua for the winter, sailing up to barbuda for an escape from land. We had been here before a number if years back. So we were famiiar with the area. Excellent anchorage at Coco Point, the beach is 100% gorgeous, as is the water. Very clean, and endless. You won't bump into many people here at all. There is one small resort at the tip of Coco Point, and another one up at Long Bay, but they are small, so again not many people. You could have a section of the beach to yourself all day, and nobody will bother you. We didn't see any beach vendors either. The only ways to get to Barbuda are by sailing there from Antigua, or if you have heaps of cash, stay at one of the two main small resorts. We opted to sail there, and save our cash. If you can go, go when there is a full moon, you will not regret it. As the sun sets, the moon rises, and it's an awesome site. The sky is unobstructed from lights, and buildings, cause there isn't any!! You can rent yachts out of English and Jolly Harbors in Antigua.
