your guide at the museo (archeology museum) is Luis Quinones (accent over the first n)....his english is quite good and he is happy to answer questions and share info on the indians settling the area.. His sister also runs a casa in town so ask him to arrange a place for you to stay.

a wonderful part of history, well worth seeing.Banes provides the tourist of a good look of everyday life.walk the streets, go the la vicario to eat, las 400 rojas to drinkmingle with the locals and enjoy, but there are no taxis, you need to arrange to be picked up or have someone call a taxi from guadalavaca. fare is about $20- each way. enjoy

Bedenkt man, dass es die einzige (zufällig) gefundene Nekropole in Kuba sei, ist ein Besuch ein MUSS und wir verliessen die Enklave unsere All-Inclusive Hotels und fuhren ein paar Minuten mit dem Bus.Auch die kubanische Unart, Gebühren für das Fotografieren zu nehmen (anstatt der heftigen 5 CUC handelten wir 1 CUC aus ...) hat die Freude an dem Besuch nicht getrübt.Dann aber, kurz über die Strasse in das "Disneyworld" einer touristischen Katastrophe, nämlich Phantasie-Einheimischen-Tanz-Und-Gebrabbel ..., das selbst den halbnackten Frauen ziemlich peinlich zu sein schien. Also besser etwas länger bei den Toten als den aufdringlich-albernen Lebendigen widmen!

Un buen tour por la vida aborigen antes de la llegada de los conquistadores españoles. Un show simple pero efectivo para el turista. Vistas maravillosas.

Bence Banes için yapılacak en iyi şey eylül ayında yapılan dans festivalidir. Tamamen yerli halk ile kaynaşabilirsiniz. Ev yapımı biralardan içebilirsiniz. Cuba nın tamamını gezdim. Banes te festival süper.

Todo muy bien planificado. hay guias especializado , que te explica como vivian , se alimentaban y trabajaban los indios tainos en esta zona de cuba, ademas que todo esta hecho a buen gusto y planificado en un espacio muy acogedor
