Well set out and worth a visit. A wide range of orchids on display in pleasant surroundings. We came across this by accident and spent a very pleasant half hour here after a walk on the other side of the river.

Being somewhat restricted for a group activity over Chinese New Year celebrations, when many places were closed, our guide led us on a walk to the Orchid Garden as it was open. The skies opened and we got soaked before we reached the gardens. On arrival the staff were very accommodating and both provided us with umbrellas (we already wore ponchos) and directed us to the Cool House whilst the rain abated. When it did we were able to tour the relatively small garden, which is well worth a short visit.

Despite just being a garden with thousands of orchids which are endemic to this region, a stroll through this garden across the central market can revive your spirits and connect you to these beautiful flowers that are bountiful here, in their own natural habitat!

Lots n lots of orchid. Nice to have photo shoot. I would prefer they provide more info regarding the particular orchid instead if just labelling their name. Visit the green house where some of the orchid is as big as human face! Recommended time to go is 4pm onwards

The garden is easy to access from boat dock - just a short walk past the Asana. Very large garden, nicely laid out. Several varieties of orchid and bromeliads in flower but not touristic and showy like orchid garden in Singapore, which moves around flowering plants to create eye-popping displays. Free!

A multiple million dollar project by the Sarawak Government. We visited the garden but deeply disappointed as it is lacking of maintenance. No reception staff to provide information to the public but we saw a few staff group themselves chatting. All TV which were supposed to provide information were all death. Worst of all, we did not see much orchid and there were no rare orchid as claimed.

The orchid gardens are a 50c ferry ride across the river. There needs to be signs indicating where it is once you are off the ferry. Entrance is free and staff are very helpful. Not all the orchids were in bloom but a lot of them were and it was well worth a visit. It is not well advertised which is a shame.

It is a short boat ride to the other side and a short walk (5-10min) to the garden from the boat. We did not see signs showing the way to the garden so had to ask people, once we got directions it is really easy.Entrance is free of charge. Worth going if the flowers are blossoming. During our trip the garden was not so much interesting. Probably wrong time of the year.

It was a pleasant surprise to have chanced upon this lovely Orchid Garden! We must have missed this out while researching for places to visit! We were elated to have visited it though the best time to visit is between the period of the months of June to September when most of the plants are expected to be in full blooms! There are many varieties of orchids grown in a rather vast piece of land. Do look out for the unassuming Green House that houses some very interesting plants. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time there as we were rushing off to somewhere else. Wished we had discovered it earlier. Love this place! FOC! Lovely! Beautiful! Calming and Charming!

The range of orchids were wide and the landscaping was beautiful and well-planned. Though it was a bit of a ride, it was well-worthed the ride since there is no entrance fee. Do note that it is CLOSED on MONDAY. And it helped to have a thoughtful driver who walked around and offered to take pictures for the family.
