Warm and out of the wind. We had a stop here while bird watching. The place was very quiet but the machines were there to be able to buy hot coffee. You could buy souvenirs here as well.

We visited the centre on a wild day in January as we were passing. The centre is on two levels with a stair lift for those with limited ability. On the ground floor there is a small food and souvenir shop; and a restaurant that wasn't open. On the first floor there was a selection of photographs of the surrounding area and small viewing platforms (that weren't open due to the inclement weather). Although there is no information (that we could find) in English it's worth stopping off if you are passing by (but probably not worth a trip in it's own right - unless you speak / read Japanese). The centre's website has an option for English (French and Russian) however, the English option wasn't working. Let's hope it's being developed.
