We just visited the Space Museum, sited here because of a local astronaut, and it deserves a rating of "Very Good" because of the delightful man who told us all about the space station. He reckoned his English was not good, but believe me, it was certainly better than my Japanese will ever be, and he made the visit very interesting - and fun. We shared a joke about space-chocolate and he was kind enough to give each of us a square of chocolate as we left. It was also fun to go into the blow-up dome of the night sky - we could make out much of the night sky configurations, but it was a shame that she was no English translation for this bit - although the young lady in charge was charming. Combine this visit with a trip to the Nikka Whisky Distillery, in the same town.

It had a cool name, and hey the space shuttle out front is not what you'd expect from a small agricultural town stop over. The photo op out front is cool and they are nice enough to even provide a stand for timed shots. But it is a roadside attraction
