I visitied this monument during my travel in Oskemen. The area is well know as "Strelka", a place where Irtysh and Ul'ba rivers meet each other. It is a very nice walk going to Strelka and the monument to the heroes of Soviet Unione is large and majestic. I advice to visit this place at sunset, where sunlight is warmer and also because monument is nicely illuminated with artificial lights.

На Стрелке, месте, где Ульба впадает в Иртыш, на том самом месте, откуда отходили баржи с солдатами, мобилизованными в Усть-Каменогорске, поставили мемориальный комплекс всем, кто не вернулся с Великой Отечественной.И аллея Героев Советского Союза - очень правильное и величественное место. Пройти, прочитать имена и фамилии тех. кто отдал свою жизнь - это сделать их бессмертными.
