这个自然保护区在阿斯塔纳以西，是世界自然遗产。湖泊非常美。其一大特色是处在候鸟迁徙带上，因而鸟类种类繁多，是观鸟的好地方。游客中心设有图书馆、展览等，并且提供观鸟的tour。从阿斯塔纳坐大巴前往大约需要2-3小时，每天有好几班。

我们去了哈萨克斯坦阿斯塔纳城附近的科加劲湖自然保护区。我们不建议游客去那。我们的邮件从来没有人回复,电话也没人接。等我们乘大巴车到那了,等了三个小时他们的美国翻译也没来。价格也高的惊人,叫个司机就要400元,住宿的话每晚500元。我们同意以一个相对较低的价位入住,但是导游让我们回来之后却没有任何的预订消息。我们抱怨时,她却对我们和翻译大喊大叫。我们从中亚开始就跟了不少导游,这还是头一回看到与游客争吵的导游呢。我们感到很吃惊,我们对翻译感到很抱歉而且对生态旅游公司感到气愤。我们不会把这里推荐给大家的,因为这里的价格又高,导游又不专业。我们推荐其他的地方。哈萨克斯坦还有很多,这真是个美丽而有趣的国度。

I went with a group from my office to visit Korgalzhyn which was a mix of Americans and Kazakhs. We benefited greatly from their language skills and local information. If you call ahead you can arrange "extra" access to the preserve meaning guided excursions vs cruising around by yourself. this opens up more areas to visit. The drive out is a bit daunting. It's long and not particularly comfortable after getting outside Astana limits. The roads are in poor shape and slows progress considerably. Once in the park the roads get nicer although they are mostly dirt. SUV or high clearance vehicle is a must in case of mud.The museum was informative and has some growth potential. Best to have a Russian-speaker to translate. The preserve itself has enormous expansive views and huge volumes of wildlife to observe. We went during the end of summer when most of the big migrations had begun. No flamingos for us but plenty of other species. There is a "resort" next to a lake in the preserve which you can stay at but it is VERY spartan. Bring food, water and any other creature comforts with you as there is NOTHING else nearby. If you are in Astana on business and have a free day on the weekend definitely try to make this trip out.

Unfortunately, the nature reserve is not tourist-friendly. Nature resources are wonderfull, but interpretation center of Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve is poor, staff hardly speak English and getting there can be really expensive. Trip to reach Korgalzhy is possible only via cramped road and consider hiring comfortable SUV, otherwise... Wildlife is extremely rich. We wanted to have guided tour, but it was not possible to book one.

...and still see something new. Be open to the big sky, the beauty of the steppe. Cranes, hawks, and egrets dominate but 300 plus other birds are nearby. Haven't seen pink flamingoes yet but will.

Very interesting trip into natural Kazakhstan steppes, system of small lakes and nature. Have you ever known that 3 of 5 major migration roots of passage birds go through Korgalzhyn? It is unbelievable, you can see so many types of birds at every turn. Swans, cranes, pelicans, pink flamingos and very many others.

There is no infrastructure and is better to go with locals than guides. I paid 5000 tenge for meals and a room. And besides that the guide took as all over the p,ace. The best was to see the pink flamingos. This is the best attraction of this place.

Наверное, самый необычный заповедник в мире. Оригинальность в том, что в нем ничего нет, кроме Земли и неба, встречающихся друг с другом как две страницы книги. Степь не отмечена ни одним холмиком. Оттеняют пейзаж лишь розовые строчки фламинго на горизонте, останавливающиеся здесь летом. Незабываемо.

Это место отдыха не для всех. А для экологических туристов, уставших от суеты. Поселиться здесь можно в гостевом доме, выходит порядка 6000 на человека, хозяева будут готовить Вам еду и давать рекомендации. Можно посетить визит центр, где Вам расскажут все о заповеднике. В основном люди приезжают сюда понаблюдать за птицами. От поселка нужно выезжать на специальные смотровые площадки. Розовых фламинго вы можете там не увидеть и скорее не увидите, поэтому не стоит себя обнадеживать. Мы были летом и было много мошек, так что нужно быть готовым к прелестям сельской жизни. Большинство людей приезжают сюда наблюдать за птицами. Если вы решите, что Вам это интересно, то добро пожаловать. В Астане можно заказывать туры через ассоциацию сохранения биоразнообразия. Тогда вам будет гарантировано больше удобств и консультаций, нежели вы поедете дикарями.
