Worth to visit and very pleasant place.very authentic fort, can see marvellous scenarioscleaning is only by monsoon.

Fortim do Mar literally translated as Cellular jail in english and Panikotha in Hindi/Gujarati. Originally constructed by Portuguese for imprisonment. The building was abandoned by government since long time but had renovated and kept open to all. Place can easily visited by the boat ride of 15-20 min (one way). There is also a nice panoramic view of Diu city and Ghoghla town.

Panikotha is a famous monument of Diu, since it is a fort so it is known as Panikotha-Fortim Do Mar. The Panikotha-Fortim Do Mar is a well known tourist place.

you should visit it.we went there once.they take people in shared boat over there and after half and hour you can come back.it was just awesome...its very windy from top

A short boat trip from the main port in Diu. Cost of 40 INR if you can find a total of 6 people, otherwise you need to fork out the minimum charge of 240 INR for the return trip. The views of the fort are impressive, as well as the churches of Diu in the distance. Also goes by the name "Panikotha".
