Bruce is an awesome guide that takes you on an amazing ride along the most beautiful beaches. It was my first time riding but his horses listened well and I felt comfortable the whole time. One of the most breathtaking views is a secluded beach that you will only get to see by riding with Bruce because it isn't known to tourists. Not only are the views incredible, but the knowledge he fulfills about the area is quite intriguing. He teaches so much about the history and the surroundings. If you're really enjoying the ride, 2 1/2 hours can turn into more hours. Bruce takes his time and simply enjoys riding. His riding adventure greatly surpassed my expectations and I would recommend this to anyone.

A wonderful experience with Bruce. Riding on the beach on his wonderful horses is an amazing trip. He takes his time and explains the plants and their uses.and shares his vast knowledge. There is no rushing and on the break he will spend as much time as you want, We had our 10 year old granddaughter with us and she enjoyed it so much.

My new bride & I honeymooned in the area with our daughters aged 4 & 6!! We spent 2,5 Hours with Bruce and it was a fantastic experience!!! I was the only experienced rider but after 5 minutes all of us felt comfortable! Our youngest rode with Bruce and the older one with me! We expect to go again when we are in the area!! A must do if you ever thought of horseback riding! Bruce is very experienced and very eco & child friendly!!! We all loved it!!!

We rode horses on the beach with bruce on our honeymoon. Itwas such an amazing experience. My husband and i (omg i have a husband!!) were like omg are we actually doing this?? He took us on gorgeous beaches, through the jungle, pointed out sloths and monkeys. He is a very skilled horse trainer and made it easy for us(very inexperienced) horse riders. His dogs came along which ade everything even more cool. Could not recommend this more.

Had a wonderful ride with Bruce down Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva, and Playa Grande! He was able to point out some wildlife, tell us everything there is to know about the plants along the ride, and even cracked open a coconut for us to enjoy during a break at Playa Grande! He doesn't wear a watch on the ride, and he'll take as many (great) photo's as you'd like along the way! Had a great morning. Thanks Bruce!!

Enjoyed the ride along the beaches of Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva, and Playa Grande. It was a very relaxing ride, ducking in and out between the beautiful beaches and the jungle trails. At Playa Grande, Bruce whacked open a coconut, and we were able to share the milk and the coconut, with some left over to bring back to our rental. Bruce also picked up a couple 'pipas' for us; young coconuts with a straw for us to taste the delicious coconut juice. Great way to spend some time, and a great value.

I highly recommend riding with Bruce and his beautiful horses, you will have a blast! I had such a great time on our ride and will definitely be back when I return to CR. Bruce is a lot of fun to ride with. He tells you all about the area, the flora and fauna, and any other bit of information he thinks would be interesting - which it always is! He found a pipa (or was it coconut?) and busted out his machete to prepare it so we could drink the juice and eat the meat. Very fun to watch! Chop-chop! I couldn't believe how good it was, too. It was a nice touch for sure! The beach you ride on is pure paradise. I had a grin plastered on my face the whole time. Everything was perfect, especially having the dogs along for the ride, too! You feel like you're part of your very own paradise posse. Bruce is truly a friendly, laid-back, funny, and positive guy. He is very passionate about what he does and loves to share the beauty of Playa Chiquita with others. This is exactly the kind of person you want as your guide. Trust me on this, you'll have a blast. Thanks, Bruce! I hope to see you sooner rather than later!

I am a total animal and nature lover and this tour fit the bill for me! Playa Chiquita is south of Puerto Viejo about 3 miles. It is a beautiful area, with tons of gorgeous beaches! The stables are just of off the road, on the right side. Bruce is friendly, positive and a great person! He takes good care of you(and the horses) the whole time and makes you feel safe! All along the ride....mostly on the shade of the beach (lots of it!) and also on the actual beach, if you prefer...he spotted wildlife for us to see and also , on our break , he found some wonderful coconuts and opened them and we all ate coconut! Yum...my favorite! I will be back to ride again with Bruce! Thanks Bruce!!!!!

My wife and I have been on many horse riding trips and this one was the absolute best. Bruce was extremely personable and went out of his way to make our day fun and comfortable. Our trip lasted longer than advertised (which was perfectly fine), brought us through the jungle, took us along the beach, and ended with a fresh coconut drink. I would highly recommend this attraction to anyone and everyone who makes their way to this part of Costa Rica!
