My family and I were here in early march, there isn't much things to see as it's not the popular season. Not many people on the streets too. We tried their Hakka thunder Tea and visited the temple. Their Hakka Thunder Tea are those sweet kind, unlike what my family used to have is more to those salted kind. We feel that the taste was a bit weird maybe we were not use to the sweetness.Visit this Old Steet only when its the peak season else not worth to visit. Just my two cents

This is actually the common problem among all old streets in Taiwan. If you went to a Hakka old street, there must have Rice dumpling in Wild ginger flower's leave, even though there is no wild ginger flower around. Then, what is the character?Beipu should really find out what its charming and unique character is.

The name may take you on a journey of imagination, but the town and street are tiny and in an hour you can see all you need to. some nice walk nearby though. Good place to buy Hakka crafts.
