Was at the park for only an hour before closing so did not manage to go for the various walking trails. As a nature lover, the garden is very serene and air is really fresh. Due to the limited entry and controlled environment, the natural habitats are relatively untouched and according to fellow reviewer, you can see little wild animals there. We did manage to see a little deer near the entrance of the park. Many species of plants can be found here. You can see trees like cinnamon, camphor, gingko etc. See the official English website for more details http://fushan.tfri.gov.tw/en/index.phpYou need to apply for permit before you can enter the park. A nice stop if you are in Yilan if you are a nature lover.

A peaceful lovely place to visit if you have time and an interest in the forest ecology of northern Taiwan. Advanced planning is needed to visit the garden. If you're coming from outside Taiwan, a tour company or a local friend will be able to help with an application to visit the garden. Attaching yourself to a day tour group that provides transportation to the garden, lunch and visits other area sites is your best bet. Some of the garden staff speak English. The trails are well marked and maintained.
