环湖步道规画得很好,风景超好能够从不同角度看日月潭,可以骑到向山游客中心走走拍派照,最好早点出门避开人潮,不然会人车拥挤!

日月潭自行车道在东北侧新增一大段，独立的自行车道大概已涵盖半个日月潭了。水社-向山游客中心这段人最多，假日骑在自行车道上非常恐怖，有小孩、想停就停的自行车、并肩而行的行人、遮阳伞...等，严格的考验耐心、技术、胆量，骑马路反而是最惬意安全。风景无庸置疑是最美的！伴着清晨的朝阳、薄雾，好像还在做梦。

从水社游客中心到向山游客中心这段自行车道，非常的漂亮，骑起来也非常舒服。经过水社坝的时候，非常多人在此拍摄婚纱照，一对一对的新人，也蛮特别的非常值得推荐

Not to be missed if you are at Sun Moon Lake. We rode from one of the harbours to the visitor centre. Very well built and maintained, it was really a joy ride during the cold month of December. Follow the instructions, dismount if required, watch out for some down-slopes.

It is up to the reputation recognized by the CNN where you able to sight-seeing on one of the wonder that you hardly seen (by Malaysian). Along the trail, there are some couples who came all the way here to take wedding photos. Bring along your camera to capture one of the beauty that hardly came by!

Saw the bike path, was told it was one of the Top 10 in the world, and so rented bikes to experience it. Although my fiancee had not ridden a bicycle since childhood and was scared at times, the bike path was very enjoyable with several scenic parts. We rode the Sun Lake part, not the Moon Lake part. Took an hour.Best parts were the scenery, fresh air, well maintained (seems mostly new) paved and boardwalk paths.Downsides were the fear riding one open (no railings) 200m boardwalk section with steep fall-off to grass on the lake side, and dangers posed by the occasional inconsiderate or mostly inexperienced cyclists. But would do it again.

Visited Sun Moon Lake in June, and as it was mostly raining in the afternoon, we decided to do a dawn ride around the lake, which was really a wonderful and picturesque experience. The whole loop is approx. 30 km. There are lots of bicycles for rent, inclusive of helmet and a bike lock around the town areas. We took our bike in the evening and parked it in front of the hotel overnight, seemed to be very safe. Less traffic in the early morning, and the misty lake view, sunrise, plus the mountain view is simply superb. By the time we reached the Bikeway, it was around 8.30am. By then, there are lots of cyclists sharing the road, so you will need to be extra cautious as there are also lots of tourists walking along the bikeway.
